Au contraire! I know that it has been the "winter" theme for years, but it is way too skewed toward Christmas to be acceptable for the entire winter season. For me, the shock of seeing Santa hats and presents under the tree in the opening screen in the middle of November was even more disappointing than the "fall" update that arrived a month "late". At least "fall" was effectively separated from "Halloween" several years ago. Why couldn't the winter theme have waited to arrive closer to the winter solstice? We still have over a month of what is technically autumn left on the calendar. We all received the news that there will be an update in early/mid December. That would have been a perfect time to change the seasons. SC waited to introduce fall until they were ready for a major update. They certainly could have done the same with the winter theme. It took forever to get rid of Christmas/winter last year. I'm really disappointed that SC appears to be moving progressively farther away from creating natural seasons for Hay Day.

    FYI:
    Spring: March 20/21 - June 20/21
    Summer: June 20/21 - September 20/21
    Fall: September 20/21 - December 20/21
    Winter: December 20/21 - March 20/21

I know there will be a lot of farmers who are delighted that they can buy decorations early, but this is ridiculous. This isn't winter and it certainly isn't the Christmas season. It's bad enough that all the RL merchants have been putting out their Christmas displays without my being subjected to it every time I log onto Hay Day. Very disappointed.

Well... we're under a winter storm warning where I live, up to 6" of snow or more forecast by Friday. So it's not just Christmas (which is really only ONE day), but the winter weather is here now. Snow blower and shovels are ready. Tanks are full of gas, and grocery shopping was done on Sunday. No "bah humbug" here. Let it snow!

In some parts of the world it is now summer, spring and so on. We follow the seasons of where we come from, which is Finland. Looking outside, there's a bit of slush now, but only a week ago we had piles of snow. It all depends on where you live.

    Cheers,

Why are some seasonal updates optional and some aren't? A good way to tell whether it's time for Xmas/winter is to look at the App Store. It's usually filled with Xmas apps and the store is winter themed. U guys are super early this year, super late last year

Hope winter doesn't end in February in Finland like it did 2 years ago...

Okay. I can accept that Hay Day's seasons reflect those of Finland...long winter. However, I seriously question whether the summer in Finland lasted until October this year. I still would like to see the Hay Day seasons completely separated from holidays with more non-holiday decorations available.

OMG, are u not used to the holiday/seasonal stuff being out so early? It was late August/early September when Halloween stuff were appearing in the stores!

So I think about now is a good time for winter stuff. Santa hats could be seen around this time too.
