First of all I would like to apologize if this has been suggested before. Matchmaking has been a constant source of all kinds of negativity on both sides of the fence for a long time now. I feel it has really hurt the game that we all love so much. No matter what side you’re on I think at least we all have that in common. My personal opinion is that something needs to change. Feel free to disagree with me on that. With this in mind I would to make the following suggestion. The suggestion is based on the assumption that SC does not want longer search times for clans but longer searchtimes do generate better matchups. I would like to suggest to let the matchmaking run simultaneously with prepday. This means prepday will start when you start ClanWar. After a maximum of 11,5 hours into prepday the matchmaking will stop and the match will be shown on the warscreen and prepday will continue to run to its end. During this 11,5 hour period matchmaking will make a shortlist of eligible opponents and after an extended crosscheck the best possible match will be made. The longer searchtime will increase the number of available and eligible clans from which a match could be made because the search will not stop when the first match is made. This will hopefully result in better matchups. Since matchmaking is integrated in prepday this would not result in longer waiting which in turn could possibly result in a unfavourable starting timeof the war. It may be necessary to automatically adjust the lenght of prepday a bit to accomodate for international clans dealing with different timezones. I’d like to read your suggestions !
