Same boat here, new clan where we have 1 th 10 down to a th 5.. first war we had was against a lv 9 clan , second was against a lv8 clan and now were facing a lv 11 clan with 175 war wins !!! Our lowest TH is a 5 while our challenger is a TH 8... Explain how this fair.. of course when you send in a message to support it will come back with a stupid generic response !!
Need to tighten up the TH spread. Guessing the mm would have a tough time finding a comparable line up. We've run TH9 and TH8s and the matchups have been spot on.
What else do you expect Support to give to a complaint that reveals a lack of understanding of matchmaking and clan levels?
Clan level has nothing to do with matchmaking, nor should it. There are high level clans without a single win to their name. As you have a TH10 in your clan able to donate troops the donated troops perk is minimised if not nullified.
Clans are matched on a clan vs. clan basis, not a base vs. base. Your TH5 being outmatched at the bottom should lead to a corresponding advantage, either elsewhere in the lineup or spread across the whole lineup. Mismatches can, and do, occur but it is impossible to say whether you are facing one on the information you have given.
Taking a wide spread of town halls to war has never been advisable, it reduces your chances of finding a clan with the same lineup as yourselves. Try taking a spread of 3 town hall levels to war and se what that does for your matchups.
So since im not the only one who finds the match ups unfair maybe supercell should look at the way it sets up matches ?? They have screwed up a lot of other things in the game so why not try and change it..so clans that are just starting are getting penalized for only having one TH 10 in their line up is just plain stupid !!
You finding the matchup unfair does not mean that it is unfair. You have provided no information whatsoever to back up your claims that you have been matched unfairly and that your clan are being penalised for only having one TH10.
If both clans are all TH8 & under, the troop level perk is a pretty serious advantage.

Maybe if your complaint said something about the clan levels in the match the person who received it couldn't think of a nice way to tell you that you should already know clan levels have nothing to do with the match and that this is a good thing.
If there are many who find war matching soooo unfair Im sure there are also many clans who go to war after war without even seeing its unfair and they are winning wars. Now the key to it learn on how to make it a fair match all the time. Of course its not a perfect science but either you always feel unfair every war or simply compare notes with those clan you encounter. I believe SC is always doing something to improve their system.
I dont know I stay at GLOBAL most of the time. I seldom see people talk about unfair war matching but here in the forum its everywhere.
