I have no idea what sc is trying to do.. Its the second unfair war of the week...

That is not a big sample size... just 2 unfair matchups in a week? That could be luck.

...of course, it could be that you have .5 accounts. SC MM currently penalizes .5 accounts HARD. Basically you will get an unfair matchup almost every war if you run too many .5's, and you will need to win on skill until your accounts balance their defense and offense out better.

Also not a fan of war matchup complaints when no real clan makeup details are provided.

Because once you get your clan makeup details, you can find a way to dismiss the complaint! Oh, you have too many .5s. Oh, you have too many rushed bases. Oh, you shouldn't be warring with the clan members you have because some of them didn't do their upgrades right. So yeah. If you didn't engineer your war roster right...your fault. If you engineered it according to the way things used to work...your fault.

Turns out that some of us have been playing with the same clan members and makeup for a long time, and suddenly the matchups we are getting have gone from being close to being obviously unwinnable. FYI, my clan only ever had one .5, me. I built my xbows in november and still keep getting matched to clans with the top half of their roster stacked and the bottom half full of TH3s. No TH3s in my roster, I war with the people who've been loyal clan members for a long time.

Maybe I should start buying lottery tickets because I must be incredibly lucky. Our last war, for example, our #1 a 52k th8 - their #1 a 65k th9 with lvl3 xbows and teen heroes. They only had 13 real bases - the bottom 12 were just low weight fillers but we are seeing this kind of thing more often than not 

I've run about 75 lower level wars, ranging from max of th6/7 to wars with a few th9 and going down to th6, 10v10, 15v15, 20v20, and 25v25 mostly...and I've never seen anything remotely like what you describe. Please post your clan id, I'd like to go check out that war if you don't mind.

Roster engineering? Just a myth...does not affect match up at all. Same for engineer bases, no longer anyway affect match ups anymore.
BTW yeah we faced engineered clans regularly...and we kick their as s all the time. I don't get all this hype about engineered bases.

It's real, not hype, if your clan isn't good at attacking... Fighting many engineered clans is like fighting someone who gives you a bunch of free punches before you start. If despite that, you still can't out score them, maybe part of the problem is that you just don't punch well!

There are lots of ways to trigger the "unbalanced bases" check in the mm algorithm. Some of those are by having highly engineered bases or a bunch of .5's. Some of those are using roster engineering from top to bottom in an attempt to emulate a rusher clan. Some of those are by dumping a bunch of defenseless or th3 at the bottom of your roster. And sometimes you just have too much spread from your top to bottom bases.

There is something in your clan war roster that causes you to match up with clans like that, the key is to know enough about how the mm works to ensure that you don't do things that greatly increase your chances of getting an unfair matchup (either in your favor or other team's favor).

If you have a crew that's been running together for a long time, then the overall spread of bases in your war roster should be relatively close. However, if you have some mostly inactive outliers then you might want to consider removing or replacing them for a couple of wars to see if that helps your matchups.

We sometimes matched with enemy where the top base is an advanced th10 (75k) even though our top is a mid th9 (62k) We never lost a war like that.

Congratulations. This, however, is a different situation. Reasonably competent th7 and th8 attackers can 3* their mirrors with nearly 100% efficiency. These wars are enormously different from wars with groups of th9/10 in them, as anybody as active as you are in the forums should know.

Yea I agree I use to always three star my number. I'm hq level 8 and I been getting hq level 9 as my number

MiniMax is Dead. It seems, as of Nov 1, 2016, Supercell has finally "fixed" the clan war matchups and made them fair. Well done Supercell. So my effort to build a Mini MAX base is now worthless ��

Myself and most others who war totally disagree with you that it is unfair. The other clan gets a troop level bonus in their CC's over your clan. That's it.

All your statement does is show how people have extremely unrealistic expectations of what a fair war matchup should be. Get your clan to level 5 and you will be fine.

How is it not fair? Clan level is no indication of anything useful.
