Excellent food for thought. I'm not sure I agree with your view that engineered clans comprise only a tiny percentage of war clans, but perhaps our definitions of what constitutes an engineered clan differs. Regardless, in the near-term it appears many of us don't know what exactly was changed or how to handle it, which proves your point that SC achieved what they wanted.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this. If you could magically take that defenseless TH11 and give them TH10 max defenses and put them at the top of the map instead of the bottom, I believe you'd see many less complaints (even though the match up is now even worse).

I think it just grinds people to see that TH so much lower on the map that "matched up against a TH8".

The frustration is a direct result of the number of clans that foolishly dictate that their members do "mirror" attacks or some variant of that. This creates mismatches on the individual level, but not necessarily on the clan level. If clans would learn to manage a war in a more intelligent manner, they would find much less frustration.

the way to make an account for war is to max your townhall out. that way no matter what match-up you get you are capable of dealing with the opposing townhall of your level whatever it may be.

my th10 can deal with any 10s and my th9s can deal with any 9s
