weird thing is, that I could drag my troops yesterday, but now can't this morning

The problem wit that being that many people (possibly even most) have CoC set to download updates automatically, and also only a very small percentage would see the message here.

You would still have a lot of people who would download it before it became usable.

there should still be an in game announcement at some point though. I am the only one in our clan who is a member here. The others didnt even know that an update was available. They were all wondering how come the training queue wasn't working.

Face it, SC would get some stick whichever way they went here.

Personally, I'm happy I can play even if the queue no longer allows me to put a golum in front of my valk, I mean.... yeah, exactly.

Preference to "play with old version that might have a small workable glitch" over "wait for mandatory update to fix glitch I can work around".

Of course, where a glitch is game breaking - we would all just have to wait. Inability to move things around the queue is not game breaking.

One or two updates per year is enough, rushing them out to keep those who demand more only ends up being full of problems and complaints, not too mention all constantly having to adjust. This maintenance break has left myself unable to connect and certain there is more than a few in the same situation, even with the optional update. How much more can players take before another mass exodus, having played since the beginning of the game and my end game is being pushed quicker than expected.
