Thanks SC devs for the most fun holiday event ever! The training easter egg was great

Being able to play the game that way, even for a short time, made it a lot of fun and caused me to spend a ton of gems that I normally wouldn't have.

there should still be an in game announcement at some point though. I am the only one in our clan who is a member here. The others didnt even know that an update was available. They were all wondering how come the training queue wasn't working.

Wynn has a point though, you shouldnt have to be a part of the forums or follow on twitter, facebook, etc... to know there is an optional update. Its odd to require people to spend time away from game to find out that there is an update for the game.

One or two updates per year is enough, rushing them out to keep those who demand more only ends up being full of problems and complaints, not too mention all constantly having to adjust. This maintenance break has left myself unable to connect and certain there is more than a few in the same situation, even with the optional update. How much more can players take before another mass exodus, having played since the beginning of the game and my end game is being pushed quicker than expected.

Well, certainly a point to be noticed. More the demands filled by SC, more will pops up and it never gonna ends. By the years when coc started everyone was happy with the content provided by SC itself. But now everyone demanding and its not gonna possible to make happy everyone. Fixed 1 or 2 major updates per year gives them time to sattle down on an update.
Looking on forum at this time, everyone wants something new in daily bases, beacuse it will tend to open game at least one time a day. Let see how this idea goes in future, but it is obvious that some harsh decision to made to save this game.

Hello,

The Halloween event is now over (event disabled with the maintenance that just took place).

We have also fixed a bug related to army training. The army training dragging feature will be broken for players with the old client, so you will need to install the latest optional update (version 8.551.24) to get it to work properly again. Optional update will be available on both GooglePlay and AppStore soon.

The optional update will also remove the Halloween theme - but worry not, Scary Pumpkins will continue to spawn for a while longer!

Well after the rebuke I got for even inferring that SC should test stuff before deploying or maybe understand the delivery mechanism and time frames before changing the server side with no client support available. I thought I sit quiet for a few hours, take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest iOS beta I'm testing and wait for the fix.

So, 4 hours later ... you guessed it ... it still not available.
