Eh hem, don't you mean the update was not provided to Apple within the appropriate time frame? Apple don't change the amount of time it takes for them to put it in the store. If a developer wants their product in the store at a specific time, it's for them to provide it to Apple in good time.

Apple (and Google) had the product well before maintenance started, and it was approved and ready to go.

Then when SC say "OK, release it" is when it becomes entirely down to Apple/Google how long it takes to be available for download.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Clash which has been the only way to update on iPad since IOS 10 came out. Still shows Halloween theme but when you try to move troops they glitch and disappear altogether. You can see a fragment of the troop picture below the troop queue. No actual way on iPad to move troops around now. Makes donating very tricky.

Well after the rebuke I got for even inferring that SC should test stuff before deploying or maybe understand the delivery mechanism and time frames before changing the server side with no client support available. I thought I sit quiet for a few hours, take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest iOS beta I'm testing and wait for the fix.

So, 4 hours later ... you guessed it ... it still not available.

Sorry, but you didn't get any sort of rebuke at all.

Just a post disagreeing with your statement (no "inferring") that it was all under SC's control.

If you had the update, it wouldn't be showing halloween theme.

Shouldn't someone from supercell be chasing this up with apple. So we all can have a time frame as to when this update will appear. Just a suggestion.

Now, as the game is pretty much unplayable at present. As I've built spells, I donated a EQ, now I have to delete the spells in waiting just to get my eq ready to attack. But ATM I wanna play the game as it is intended to be played....but I can't use the full function.

id rather you (SC) put it on a update break and give me a shield for 8hours to get this sorted properly

there is nothing like incompetent timing. Why is it always people in Europe that get screwed over with poor planning and timings.

Agree game is pretty horrible until Apple makes the download available. Not being able to move troops is terrible on SCs part.

I don't get what the big deal really is that this feature is not yet available for a little more time. We lived without this feature for a long time. We can certainly play with it like this for a little while longer. Most people will only be mildly inconvenienced.

If Apple normally takes longer than Android and there is NOTHING that can be done to predict the turn-around time, then here is what I would recommend:

1. When SC is ready to go live with the update, give Apple the go-ahead.
2. Wait for Apple to release the update in their App Store.
3. As soon as update is available on Apple App Store, immediately give Android the go-ahead and start the maintenance break.
