Eggs galore, but I don't understand the source of the problem...is it really a Rose/Ernest issue? Where are all u wheaters at?? Are u suddenly not advertising wheat anymore? And for those of u who are advertising eggs right now, why?

It will probably go back to normal in a few days but jeebus, the DD is all out of whack.

It's happening because many egg ads are not being sold and they keep polluting DD. Since the supply of eggs has dramatically increased and demand stayed the same - number of egg ads that are not selling are huge. I have two egg ads that haven't sold in a few hours, so they keep polluting the Daily Dirt.
Does it make sense now?

On the bright side at least the DD isn't flooded with wheat or tofu dogs. In my most recent paper 49 of the 53 adds were eggs.

Along with a flood of eggs, I think we are seeing less crops advertised because everyone with Rose and Ernest are having to grow a lot more wheat, corn, soybeans, sugarcane for them to fill up sugar mill and make animal feed. I normally don't grow any strawberries, pumpkins, sugar cane, indigo and sometimes even tomatoes because I am able to buy all of those in the newspaper. I am having a really hard time finding those crops right now. I think many people have shifted to basic crops to keep a never ending supply for Rose and Ernest.

For example, before the patch we had 1000 ads at each point in time. 50 (5%) of them were eggs, 300 (30%) were wheat, and 300 (30%) indigo.
Now since egg ads aren't selling, they keep piling up, we have: 10000 ads - 9050 are eggs (90.5%), you still have 300 wheat and ingigo, but they are only 3% of all the ads now.

Yes! You have 18 hens who lay 54 eggs per hour if constantly fed and "renewed". The maximum of milk is 15 per hour. Since keeping the hens fed was not a big priority before, eggs were not that common on the market place.

Now, almost every player produces eggs at maximum capacity. I guess that the increase of production is highest for the products who need the most attention.

I see, thanks. So this is related to Rose...and players using her services for eggs. This reminds me of that carrot event when carrots times were cut in half and everyone started growing carrots and selling it in the DD. It was littered with carrots.

Sigh. Nothing much we can do but wait it out. Hopefully it returns to normal after the free trial period.

May have something to do with the fact that I originally told Rose to keep a stock of only 5 eggs (because i saw the mass overload of eggs in the paper... I know where to get some if I need em) and yet I am WATCHING her collect more and more eggs... I have 32 currently. Yet I'm playing the game and seeing eggs and xp fly across the screen, and inventory numbers get updated. I have sold them down to zero hoping she'll just collect the five I asked her to, but nope. Homegirl started collecting again and ain't stopped.

Oh, and while my goats starve, she's making chicken feed. Nonstop.
