Supercell constantly and already has made fresh new renders of the troops, even displayed on the app previews on google play/App Store. The renders used for the troop icons and information screens have been exactly the same since the initial launch back in 2012. They're simply outdated and ugly, especially when newer troops like the Baby Dragon and images like the Barbarian King on the league screen are added and are far more polished. They just feel like a big stamp to remind you how old the game is.
