    The Hero Laboratory: An Idea to use Heroes whilst Upgrading!

    DISCLAIMER: I am not a computer programming wizard so I do not or have no knowledge of how easy of a job this would be, this is simply an idea for an improvement in the game I think we would benefit all types of players.

    Hero Laboratory:

    Anyone who has reached at least Town Hall 7 and has unlocked the ability to use Hero’s knows of this one simple pain that I think most of us would like to see changed. When a hero is upgrading they are unavailable for use during the upgrade time, If you have knowledge of how all other troops work, you know this is only the case for heroes, if you are currently upgrading golems in your laboratory you can still use them at any time, just at a lower level.
    My idea is simple, introduce a new building, or incorporate it into an existing building that allows heroes to be upgraded in the same fashion as all other troops. Instead of using a builder and requiring the hero to be unusable for a maximum of 7 days, this instead allows you to use the hero while it is upgrading. For example, if you are upgrading your Archer Queen from level 7 to level 8, you would be able to use your level 7 Archer Queen during the upgrade time, unable to use the level 8 Archer Queen until your research has completed.

    There are many reasons for this change

    1. Heroes are considered, in players eyes, to be a part of your army composition, therefore, in my opinion, they should be considered as such when upgrading. If all other troops are available for use whilst being upgraded, why should heroes be any different?

    2. War:
    everyone hates having heroes upgrading if they are in an active war clan, we all know the highest level heroes possible are very very useful in clan wars, and any player with a proper strategy understand how important heroes are to war attacks. Most of us OPT out of wars when our heroes are upgrading, frankly because you can not be trusted in most cases to 3 star opponents without your heroes. This fix I’m proposing would a provide a work around this issue, it would increase war activity amongst clans, and make the overall War community very happy.

    3. Farming: essentially the same reason as war, farming sucks without your heroes, especially at town hall 9+, now I’m not complaining, any good strategist can farm effectively without heroes but, lets be honest, we all prefer to have them. This would increase game activity amongst the more casual users, whom from my experience in a clan, do not play as frequently when they do not have all of their heroes available.

    4. Player activity: I feel Supercell has been taking an approach through recent updates to try and streamline the game and make it feel like less of a grind, in order to try and increase the amount of new players playing the game. This would not take away from the grind factor, as any knows, grinding is still a big part of this game if you want to be an effective player. This simply would mesh well with the current direction SuperCell seems to be taking, lessening upgrade times on certain troops and buildings, to try and create and seemingly more fast paced game style. This idea would fit perfectly next to what I’m seeing is a sort of direction SuperCell is trying to take the game.

    This is all I have folks, now my idea is not perfect, it is simply an idea, any feedback or additions to this idea would be great. I really think an update similar to what I’m proposing here would go far and would make a lot of people in our community very happy.

    Congratulations. You are the 235,674,235,756,223,775,223 person to suggest this. Just like the 235,674,235,756,223,775,222 people before you, it is ignored and ruled out and NEVER HAPPENING unless CoC becomes a sinking ship and people quit playing and Supercell needs to do something drastic to retain players. I personally fear the day that Supercell implements this because, like I said, it will be the day Supercell recognizes their game as going downhill.

    unfortunately you may be correct, that doesn't mean it can't be a topic of conversation to try and convince SuperCell otherwise. One of the main reasons they do not change this is probably gems, alot of people pour money into gems specifically for heroes. I don't think a change like this would actually affect that profit cow as much as they believe. People will always want things immediately and right now, and i think this update would more affect people who don't spend money on the game rather then those who do, if you already spend money on the game that will always be your intent, regardless.
