As a Premature TH9, your priority should be offence.
This means:
Army camps
Farming armies at L5/L6
Maxed Jump/Rage depending on your farming style
and of course a strong clan to support you with clan troops.
As for your original question. Gold is never wasted on splash towers. The dragons...debatable as I never use them.
Yes, splash damage is very important for defending farming army. Dragon is good for donation, unless you have low level troops to farm, then should upgrade farming troops first.

Yes, in my opinion, splash damage defenses first, so well spent. You have a long way to go though, so as long as you are upgrading, it's always going to be well spent.
I would concentrate on barbs, archers goblins and minions for farming. And get the camps leveled up.

All level 6 mortars are good because they can 1-shot any archer. Mortars and wiz towers are best defenses to upgrade(best uses of gold). As for the dragons, can you tell us what levels all your troops are so we can get a better idea of what you could have upgraded? Also a pic of your base(or your clan and IGN) would help

Gold was well spent definitely, (Splash damage defenses get priority) But depending on use of drags, Personally I would of used the elixir on army camps/dark elixir drill.
Also, troop levels.

Hmm, I use dragons as th7 and they cost a lot..(I use 5dragons and 9giants to pick off easy AD) but if you would ask me, its pretty good(unless you show a photo then I can judge easier)
Work on your farming troops. Dragons are a terrible choice when barbarians, archers, goblins, giants, wallbreakers, and healers are yet to be done. Pick the ones you use to farm; I'd go with barbarians next.Originally Posted by LightBeatz
