I have been biting my tongue for weeks on this. Sorry but I think negativity is taking over here, and I feel I need speak my mind. Yes I agree that for those who love decorating, it would be disappointing not to get a hoped-for fresh decoration after playing for several years. But seriously? It's a stretch to suggest that not getting such thing is a sign that the whole game is going down the tubes and about to be shut down. And it's a negative outlook to conjoin that disappointment with any other dissatisfactions or niggles one might have, especially of the nature "SuperCell doesn't listen to me or reply personally to me".

I'm glad this is the Hay Day forum where I'm among friends and basically good folks, so I hope we can agree to disagree where we do on this, and continue to treat each other with respect. I'm not usually Pollyanna, but please people, don't harsh my mellow (to mix a few metaphors egregiously).

Still no Nick, still no Sneak Peaks. Does make you wonder if SuperCell are basically phasing the game out. It's lack of creative attention is quite alarming.

The situation appears bleak at the moment but there may be hope that Nick hasn't posted Sneak Peeks because the planned update is very buggy and Team Hay Day is working hard to debug it. This hope will expire when Team Hay Day take their vacation sometime in December.

Your playing optimist, and kudos for you for that.

For me, it's not just a lack of unique Halloween content - in fact that is only a small thing for me having played now for about a year. It's the extremely large gap between the last update and now. We haven't even seen the launch of sneak peaks to suggest an update is a week or so away.

The death of GC and lack of front foot action by SuperCell is compounding farmers frustrations.

Hay Day is really fun - it has grabbed my attention more than any farm game in the past. But eventually if there is nothing fresh been injected into it we will slowly lose interest and migrate elsewhere.

Our concerns are because we love the game and don't want that to happen.

It's not just about some deco. If u've been following this thread, it's more than just some lame deco. It's the lack of effort and creativity from SC specifically with these seasonal updates (for me). Recycled Halloween decos and 25 diamonds? Really?? Amazing creativity right there. That's all they got, a giant developer such as SC? I suggest u go back and specifically read MikeySpeed's and MiniGardener's posts again. MiniGardener has always been a Pollyanna on this forum (no offense, Mini). Why do u think she's been posting the way she has in this thread? What does that tell u? Maybe some of us don't see it as shiny as u do.

I'm sorry if u feel this thread is negative. The truth hurts sometimes. Please feel free to NOT read up on it. These concerns from some of us long time players are valid and should be respected. There's a reason it's 13 pages long and counting.

I've been biting my tongue for weeks, too, Tomville. Until I posted yesterday, I hadn't done anything but lurk since early September. I figured I would wait and see what SC had in store for us when the season on the farm switched from summer to fall. Nothing new, and I'm not just talking about deco.

So I continued to wait to see what SC had in store for us for Halloween. Nothing new, and I'm not just talking about deco.

Meanwhile, I continue to wait for an "update". I don't consider the seasonal changes and holiday events updates. In my experience, there is seldom more than one major update in a year. They are usually linked to seasonal changes, but not always. I wasn't expecting anything much before the end of the year because of the huge update in June. (Love my new fruit trees, onions and tea!) However, there are usually a number of "small" refinements that accompany an update. Often, those are the best part and are appreciated by one and all. For example, the "tweak" that made it easy for us to tell how many animals need to have their eggs/wool/bacon collected and how many still need to be fed. Another is the little kiosk by the train station that tells us what we need to fill town orders. There are tons of very good suggestions for other things like that that we would have been delighted with. Pets not running through buildings and fences comes to mind. Visitors stopping far enough out on the driveway so that we don't accidentally "open" the farmhouse when we tap them is another.

I'm perfectly happy to have a Pollyanna reputation. When I complain about something, I always try to make a positive suggestion of how I think the complaint could be fixed or what I would prefer to see. For example, I think all the complaints about the Derby prizes could be "fixed" by the introduction of a gift catalog; and I would "prefer to see" verdigris rather than gold statuary, or town-specific pets like an aviary rather than more dogs, or a completely new feature like a mushroom log or clam/oyster bed rather than a new field crop.

I haven't bought any decorations since the daffodils last spring. Forgive me if my post sounded like I was equating creativity with decor. I'm much more interested in "working" parts of the game. I think the most discouraging thing of all is that there isn't really any "buzz" here in the forums. Usually there is a lot of excitement and speculation leading up to a holiday, but this year the forums are basically "dead". I don't remember ever seeing this before.

I'm afraid it smells like the game is dying and they are letting us down slowly - they will have the stats to show how many people are leaving daily - seems to me they have run out of interest in the game as it's not creating the revenue the owners require and that the team are probably working on a replacement or directing resource elsewhere - and their servers don't seem to be able to cope anyway that's why Nick told us no more land for foreseeable future

No one knows. Ur guess is as good as mine. Some CoC folks mentioned they were just introduced to a new friend system in their latest update. Might be SC's solution to the GC problem. It's only logical to assume HD is getting a similar friend system in the next update as well. Maybe that's why this update is taking a little longer and Halloween is so underwhelming because they are working on this new friend system? Wishful thinking. Who knows.

I urge u folks who have a problem with SC's recent lack of creativity to continue to speak up. Don't let one bump on the road stop this train from going full speed ahead. It's threads like these that might finally open SC's eyes so they can reevaluate how they can make this game better. Closed mouths don't get fed. Some might see it as negativity, I see it as a nice friendly discussion amongst like-minded players. Carry on
