    We have faced engineered clans in 4 of our last 6 wars. It's getting old...

    The game should be won on skill.. not on creating an advantage by rigging the matching system

    Agree, war should be won by skill,

    1. Roster management skill, choosing who should war, and who should not (if you let everybody war, you are very unskilled)
    2. Strategic base development skill, choosing what to develop, Supercell offers so many items, do you have to build all (if you blindly MAXING EVERYTHING, you are very unskilled)
    3. War management skill, choosing who should attack which base and having proper sequence(if you just do generic mirror attacking, or mirror plus or minus, you are showing lack of skill)
    4. Attacking skill
    5. Motivation skill (how many times you just whine, and do not doing your best attemp to win)

    So do you really have the SKILLS

    I don't mind engineered games; it's just another base to take down, no different than any other. I realized a long time ago that "mirrors" ain't, and that a match may look nasty but becomes much easier to manage as the attacks unfold.

    What I *DO* hate is when I come up against one of those extreme roster engineering clans. These are the ones who have their roster down so tight that they pull a clan who cannot possibly win because the tops are uneven. That's when we typically lose. Relatively even, a bit underdog...no problem. A clan with two, maxed THs a full level higher than our #1...that's irritating. Skills are irrelevant in such matches; we just don't have the firepower to beat the top base beyond one, maybe two stars.

    We just had one of those in our last matchup - 42-45. 15v15, they had four TH8s - one maxed except walls, one near maxed, the other two rushed - at the top to our maxed TH7s. Their top two attacked us with a golem/wizard/Valkyrie combo four times, then used dragon attacks from the next six down to finish things off. They had two defenseless games, a TH3, 2 TH4s, a TH5, 5 TH7s, then 4 TH8 anchoring the top.

    This is why I have a TH8 defenseless and mini-max in the works right now; I just need to get golems, Valkyries, and PEKKAs upgraded on the one and started on the other.

    FWIW, I really wish SC would just make it so no one can even do clan wars until TH6....

    Love the engineers on here always trying to justify their existence with this kind of stuff. Bottom line is that 9.9 times out of 10 you do it because you can't consistently 3 star an equal base so you need to bump yourself a town hall level or two to gain an advantage.

    notice the the emphsis of explanation on points 1,2,3,5. But point number 4 has no explanation....
    1-if you have poor attackers kick them and find better ones
    2-manipulation is not skill, any dumb dumb can work out that build/upgrade less defence gives less weight
    3-sending your th7 defence th11 max offence number 18 to hit a unmaxed th10 number 3 hardly requires skill
    4-in my experience engineers have no attacking skill, hence the engineering
    5-you must have unbelievable skills to see your oppo clans chat to know this

    31 just smashed our 4 in war...max th11 attack hitting a new th10 with one inferno.

    Engineers don't do it because they "can't" 3 star an equal base they do it to make it easier.

    We have skills. We are well drilled and give us a fair fight we will usually win. We don't blindly upgrade everything. We don't blindly hit opposites. Engineering is about giving yourself easier matches so you can win. Pure and simple.

    We had the same problem when the update first came out... We have a pretty good win ratio and once we started facing clans with war advantages from lower bases having the extra high level town-hall attacks we started losing more wars than usual. I complained about it but what is complaining going to get you until they fix it? We are a war clan so we just adjusted to the new system and upgraded some of our better th9 attackers to th10 (9.5). Some of our better th8's went to (8.5). We also slashed some of the high level th10-th11 players from our clan if their attacks weren't up to par with opponents. So my suggestion is too slash some higher war weight if they aren't winning or at-least able to tie top of map. Move a few th8-th9 to 8.5,9.5 with only working on offensive troops. Now we are back winning wars and matchup's are so much better for us. So just adjust like a good war clan always does. We have only ran into 1 clan the last 12 wars that just out based us with tons of engineer bases. Most wars with engineer accounts we face don't have the advantage anymore over us since our 9.5 bases gives us those extra attacks also.

    So this should be the response of a good leader, only pick up player that able to 3* his own weight, and do necessary upgrade to win war

    Is it possible that it is due to the fact your clan is now engineering some bases and therefore has more probability being matched to those clans?
