The intention was to nerf bowlers and qw.
And no qw is not a strategy for bad attackers. There are lots of factors like of factors that can go wrong. You cant just dump her anywhere at least not at th10/11. It is a very technical strategy and the first phase still works like before. What was nerfed was the last phase of the qw where she ru s through the base cleaning up all remaining defenses replacing backend troops like hogs, loons or miners and this is what Supercell wants to target.
I feel like the nerf was OK (as far as nerfs go). QW is still viable - just less effective / more defensible. .
Also, I suspect something air-related is coming in the next update which might have an impact on players' placement of outside air bombs/defences.

I've probably done 50 QW raids since the nerf... while air traps are a mild annoyance to deal with, I'd say they only really killed a couple of my raids... no biggie.
