Its just an urban legend that Apple is issuing refunds to anybody.

I read that supercell stated they are working on fixing the last update by the cheer leading squad. Can anyone point me in the right direction cause I can't find it. You would think it would be "stickied" if they are.

I only requested it a few days ago, and per apple it takes 5-7 business days for it to be refunded, as far as the email i can provide that.

    Dear ******,

Thank you for providing the order numbers. Under the circumstances, I've determined that a refund is appropriate. In five to seven business days, a credit of 152.18 USD should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.

I have also submitted this item for investigation. Apple takes the quality of the items offered on the iTunes Store seriously and will investigate the issue with this item.

The developer of this application, Supercell, is the best resource for assistance with this issue. To contact them, please visit:

If you have other concerns that I can be of assistance, please do let me know. I will be more than happy to help you.

Thank you for contacting iTunes Store support. Apple appreciates your business.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

All purchases are for in-app purchases for "gems" which provide benefits to Boost players to higher levels, as to compete on a more fair level. However, With the most recent update SuperCell released, It creates an unfair advantage to those who have just joined the game, and remove the competitive fairness for players of my level, which breaches the game-play SuperCell promised when I made these purchases.

Simply reviewing the app reviews for the application or their own forums shows the serious nature of the update, and SuperCell has still yet to even make a public notice about the situation.

If you need further information from me, please don't hesitate to ask. SuperCell needs to be responsible and make a notice to all customers who have spent money in good faith, and are now left with a bad taste in their mouth of doing business with both SuperCell and Apple. I do hope this situation is fixed not only for myself, but is also addressed on a larger scale for everyone else who is frustrated with this situation
