I've been playing for about 11 or so months now, and never managed to get a triple without buying extra spins. Have had 2 stars on a few occasions though.
I don't even really need the coins that much anymore, but would still love to see it happen one day.
Who has, how many times, and how long have you been playing?
I have a friend who has since stopped playing, but she was ACE at manipulating the spinning of the wheel & got that most days.
Personally, I just got frustrated

I have gotten it twice and have been playing for 3 years, first time was a few months back and the second time within a week of that.
I won all three jackpots once, in the first year (2013), never won it again. Might have got the second jackpot once or twice since then, but not sure.
