And what about those maxer clans that place 3 completely maxed TH11s at the top of the map...and stick a bunch of weak, low weight TH6s at the bottom to lessen overall weight. How about those clans?
Same principle applies there. Same tactic. Top deciding the war, and don't care about the rest getting tripled- but funny how nobody seems to mention this tactic...it being maxers and all. Just a different kinda maxing.

Yep its a crazy match up you've got. Save your loot n don't attack if you think you guys don't stand a chance.
This is the next quest for SC. As I said in a previous post, if the war would be finer balanced on the top 20%~ and less on the lower part, the queue times should still be good and the overall match ups better.
There is a lot to consider, I just think that engineering, .5 and the problem you just mentioned are a lot easier to fix (even with proper queue times in mind) than SC makes it seem.
The overall problem remains, that this stuff should in no way be a legit strategy with proper balancing in mind.

Use a war base, bury your cc in the middle, and put valks in cc every time. There are plenty of th9's that will panic and screw up a raid when they see 3 max valks headed their way.
fyi, your opponents didn't have 10.5's sitting at slots 2-7...a 10.5 has max th10 defense and th11 offense, there's no way they have 14 inferno towers. Your problem in this war is not with .5's, it's with a hardcore engineered clan. At least, that's my guess based upon the information presented thus far.

OP it is hard to tell if your clan is facing a war mismatch with the info you are giving.
Lets say your enemy's first 7 bases are impossible for your team to 3 star, considering enemy's first 7 can 3 star your first 14 (big burden to the top bases), there must be 7 impossible bases (for your opponent to 3 star) in your lineup as well only they are somewhere in the middle. Those 7 impossible bases of yours might look very ordinary and 3 starrable but without any more heavy hitters left the enemy can't do much. Of course this is just me imagining what your war match may look like.
That's why some of us are interested in the whole lineup. The more info you give the more everyone learns to assess war matchmaking
Don't give up just yet
