Of course they will upgrade offence as well. Are you suggesting someone who upgrades defences first waits until their upgrades are finished before they upgrade offence? Of course not, that would be foolish.

I just don't see a valid argument against it. If one person does its, it's fine, but if everyone who is upgrading a th does it it's an exploit? Maxing out walls is a defensive upgrade, just like xbows is. The difference is a smart war clan prioritizes which upgrades to do first.

Thing is they never will. There are so many people that are casual/don't have intimate knowledge of game mechanics. I see 8.5s once in a blue moon, and 9.5s and 10.5s are even rarer.

That's called good team strategy. It makes no sense to build heavy defenses right off the bat. Forcing your clan to go the .5 route from th8.5 onwards is just smart upgrading.

You are right. However this current matchmaking is seeing people with lets say 20/20 heroes going th10 just for spells and camps, even th10 troops but still pulling th9s in war. Smart? Sure. Boring? Yes. Whats gonna happen when supercell does nothing , every clan will be full of these and every war will be 100% on both sides. How exciting

I like when when we face clans that use .5 as an upgrade strategy. It means we are going to have a good close war as their members are serious about war.

If this is the case why u need advantages then lol. Please. You match a good clan, and this is only way you can compete. People that dont have knowlege of mechanics of weighting probably wont be all that great in war...

Does SuperCell want a game that has the outcome of wars largely dependent on massive spending? Maybe they do, but I expect very few people will play that game. Game companies that ignore the majority of their players in favor of a few big spenders, don't last long.

Like I said, the average player has no knowledge of these. We've faced defenceless in war, and my clanmates reaction was ♥♥♥ IS THAT?!?!? HOW?!? WHAT A NOOOOB.

Granted, it was an incomplete defenseless but he had no idea why anyone would do it.

Also, the average player wouldn't have the time to create second or third engineered accounts. I rarely see anyone with 2 accounts, let alone a normal and engineered.
