I have often tried to return favour on helpers, more so if they fill some nightmare box like cream when doing boat task and desperate! Why thank you for your 8+ cream I could kiss you all over!

As far as shop bought taboo items go, I have only been stung a few times - you know giving a plank to a stranger instead of hoodie IS devastating. However, the rest of the time I don't mind. When I am cooking I often grow rice, at several points in the day I will grow rice and cotton - so there are times I am selling 140+ rice in one go - my hoodie never ask for it so I am more than happy to sell it to anyone.

I keep x amount of product in stock, after that I tend to farm one thing. Sometimes I will leave some good stuff in my shop, if hoodie doesn't want it I don't care if a follower gets it. Generally i just ask often if anyone needs anything - trade over specific items so I never have to worry about all my soups and lobsters going to villains. I have some follower who also put things like blankets and jams in their shop, they buy something in my shop which lets me know they have good things on offer, I then go to their shop and grab things I need. They have helped on boats and I have put things like coffee machine stuff in my shop that I wouldn't have otherwise sold but for seeing they needed it. Just a shame there is no real communication to say "I can give you what your boat needs".

i have to admit I am often sorely tempted to just buy everything up when during events farm names become "do not buy, for hood only".

i wouldn't do it to a GC friend / neighbor, but anyone on the boat leader board, event recent contributors is fair game IMHO
