Actually had a hoodie just quit over this in the last 24 hours.
Our hood member was just 14 years of age, had a ex hoodie keep raiding her shop of good products.
Our hoodie was frustrated, did the "stop buying from me 'raider name".
Raider changes name to "you can't stop me
'Hoodie'".
To a 14 year old that is very distressing and akin to cyber bulling. Something teenagers always have issues dealing with.
So yeah, our 14 year old member quit over it.
For older people like myself we can reason with how last helpers works and deal with it.
Young teenagers though? In this case clearly not.
SuperCell can easily prevent this by stopping last helpers been active for so long. 2 weeks is a totally irrational period of time. Why can't SuperCell just get rid of last helpers or reduce it to 24 hours? It is always an area of concern by many players.
And it's easy to resolve, so how about just fixing it SuperCell?
I'm sure our 14 year old hoodie isn't the only one to quit over this issue.
Along the same sort of thing is when you discover you were unfriended by someone abruptly, especially when you think you are being a good neighbor. I just hit level 162 a couple hours ago. I have been trying to collect higher level friends and try to never buy more than 3-4 boxes unless it is tree or bush products or wheat or something common. But, I still find some of my friends with better items drop all of a sudden off my friends list.
The odd thing is how people interpret patterns. While I have less of an issue of people buying what they wish from my shop, I started having someone, probably a random help since they aren't a follower or friend, buy 300+ crops repeatedly from my shop. And, within a couple of minutes of me getting them all up. Yes, it is rude and annoying but I am sure there are others here who will chime in that seeing 150-200 rice in a shop is a sight for sore eyes and they would not think twice about buying it all. I really try hard to not take things personally or jump to conclusions. And, when someone buys exp stuff in my shop that my hoodie left too long, oh well!
Yes, I've recently gained a follower like that too - they've cleaned me out several times over the last couple of days. And judging by the neighbourhood they're in, they live in a similar time zone, so I'm going to have to be careful when listing stuff for my hoodies. Generally speaking I'm grateful that they're buying, but I can see how it would get annoying and problematic.
Still, they're not thieves - just lacking self control. And I wouldn't be surprised if many of those repeat buyers of massive quantities thought they were doing a good thing. As you say, we are interpreting things.

Level 96 - farm started June 2016
No Town
I actually like to have the last helpers list. It gives me a chance to return the favor to the kind strangers that help my boat orders and water my plants. After I am done with my chores in farm, I would tap into their farm to see if their flag is up and try to help them out. Unless I am trading with someone at the moment, otherwise, I don't mind strangers buying unadvertised items in my RSS. I think the last helpers list has been a good feature based on my experience.
