We all know that currently clash of clans is in decline, sales wise, play time wise, rating wise, everything. So with that in mind, accommodations must be made. And while a quests system would be a pretty nice improvement, my requests lay along the lines of casual play.
1. Improving late game
-late game is the heart of clash of clans, they are the consistent players, they are the backbone. And looking at legends league and seeing maxed bases, all looking the same, with the same attack strategies, same completely full storages, and just seeming to have hit the end, it's depressing. What made this game great was the strategy, the ingenuity, the "I made this, and it works" mentality that has been nearly lost. My massive plan is a possible solution for this, but finding ways so that those top players, all of whom have spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the game don't win and don't max out from pay to play. It's boring. So, with that introduction of a problem, here are some solutions to that and to other problems there are.
2. Going from start->end game takes too long.
-I know I just said that there are players who got up to the top unfairly quickly, but that's only partly because they could. I have been active on my account for nearly a year, spending between 30 mins and 4 hours a day on it over the course of around three years. And I am a mid tier town hall 8. Come on, I've worked harder than probably any of the pay to win legends league players but I have been discouraged because I see it's going to take three days to get a level three wizard tower. I have some fifty-seventy buildings. And I don't want to spend almost a year to bring each building up one level in accumulative time. That's garbage. So, you need to lessen the time it takes to upgrade anything by 60% or more. The point of having it was to prevent pay to play people from just carelessly upgrading everything all at once, but not only has that been not effective, but it also prevented normal players from being able to progress like they deserve. So severely, severely diminish the time it takes to upgrade. This is a mobile game, and considering I've seen houses built in less time, in real life, I think my app can consider lowering the ridiculous time. On townhalls it can stay, because that's groundbreaking for players, upgrading that, but the rest needs a serious lessening.
3. Now for the massive update, READ THIS
-the game needs a new dynamic. It's getting boring. So, here is what needs to happen. The game is old to the point where we know what's going to happen eventually, and new players only last so long playing free before quitting. Time to make it fun again. Add in a three party system. And add it universally. Make it so each player is warned ahead of time so they can collectively decide their team when the update comes and coordinate with their friends which team to be on, but make it so each team has a different dynamic, different troops, different towers, different gains, and special loot. Say team blue has a slowing effect on troops, team red has haste on their attacking troops, and team green gains more loot per hit. Make it fun, make it worth it. That's what you need supercell
