"Northern Dragons" #99VCPJ98 wars every week end (and opting out is fine). We strongly discourage premature bases in wars, to keep it fair for everyone else. There are a bunch of people who are active in the clan who don't war (its not a requirement).
Our #1 requirement is that all members must be respectful & polite. There are many kids in the clan (including mine). We have members from Europe, USA and other countries, however we are predominantly Aussie.
We're happy to teach good techniques and donate often. We generally 3 star all th8 & lower bases in war, and I'm currently working on 3 star attacks against other th9 opponents (I earned 6 stars last war, against non-rushed th9 opponents, one with max defences).
One of our recent recruits had never earned a star in war (and was kicked from his previous clan for this). He regularly now 6 stars vs peers in wars.
