I approve of this idea! My thoughts: This structure would eliminate the, "I don't have any troops ready, hold on while I postpone my own raids to donate to you, etc." It would greatly increase donation rates. It would also encourage the donation of more expensive troops that take longer to train. It would allow you to stockpile and send troops at a moments notice.
Secondary concerns may be associated with game play balance. With an additional building, comes something extra to destroy or defend. It will affect the number of buildings required to 50%.
Awesome concept. I think this idea could easily be implemented in some shape or form. An alternative idea of mine may be to create a "clan troop reserve" as a subset of the clan castle where you can donate troops directly from your army camp, so that Members or Elders can go to the troop bank and select the troops they need. Leader could set restrictions on the quality of troops available by the rank of the clan member. for example, members have access to tier 1 and 2 troops, Elders have access to tier 3 and DE troops. This would provide a desired functionality for Elder rank and would encourage players to participate in order to achieve it without begging for it.
Your concerns are legitimate but doesn't seem like itll be a big deal as it would count as 1%-4% of your base. If more people have concerns about that then i would understand that this idea wouldn't be do-able. I like your idea of a subset instead of another building! Not so sure The idea of building troops in the reserve would fly, but being able to move troops from your army camp to a reserve that was only for donating or deleting sounds really good. Perhaps also troops that are finished but stopped in the barracks could be moved directly also.
Either way troops will be going into the reserve. Doesnt really make a difference if you move troops from camps into the reserve or just make troops in the reserve. But I do understand what you're saying, the idea that its basically another barrack might not make it fly but the fact that its only for troops donations might make it fly

It has been brought up in the past in a few varying forms - it's an interesting idea that some might find useful, but adds a lot of complexity to the game in an area where there hasn't been a lot of outcry due to big issues.
A new building to defend, moving troops between camps and reserve, de-elixirfying? them sounds fun, but would likely take a few developers a few update cycles to code for a whole feature set that speeds up and makes nicer donations so everyone would have PEKKAs, Dragons, and Golems in their clan castle?
Knowing how the devs like to prioritize updates and what's on their to-do list, I don't see something like this coming to be anytime in the near future, but anything is possible.
