It could be my imagination, but it seems to me they visit more frequently if I visit other farms.

I don't believe there is a minimum number. On my baby farms, they will ask for whatever I hold most of (and second and third highest as noted by GladeMaid) even if I only hold a few. They also ask for items you don't have. I have had them ask for as few as 5 wheat.

I have never sold my visitors anything other than wheat as coins have never been an issue for me, so I have no suggestions for earning coins. I will say, however, that they do pay well for wheat and, if your silo is large enough, visitor event can be lucrative even if only selling wheat.

It's my experience that visitors ask only for what you have none of or the top 2. It may look like the 3rd is an option but it's not. You need to think like a visitor.

Example: silo stock, top 3
800 wheat
700 corn
350 tomatoes
A visitor is already there asking for 485 wheat. If another visitor walks up (s)he assumes you will sell that wheat leaving you with 315 making corn and tomatoes the top 2, opening up tomatoes for a visitor request even tho you still have the wheat in your silo.

As for the timing, I haven't paid attention. I just know they only stay for a few moments with either a boatload of wheat or corn or a boot to the rear and the pursuit of my attack puppies if they ask for my precious barn stock

Timing---I hate the walkers! So, I ignore them a lot. But, when there is no event, they seem to come nearly as soon as I send them away, regardless of whether I filled an egg or wheat request or not. When the visitor events starts, they come much less like 2 every 4+ hours, again, regardless of whether I fill the request or not. It's the only time they aren't milling about constantly.


Personally, it's a little creepy because I think they are going to steal from me and we have no cops to call to kick them off for trespassing or courts to get restraining orders on them! And why can't I visit THEIR farms and offer 25 coins for 295 wheat? So unfair!

So,
What Will Be The Situation here.. (Thinking much Then The Visitors ..)

The visitor Will See no Other Crop Or Product As All Other Crops & Products Would be at same Value which Is = 1..

As There Would B Only Wheat Everywhere..!!

Would this work? in earning Coins For Lower Levels? I think It should..!!

it will work, but not as well as having high amounts of both wheat and corn. You go from a 1 in 4 chance of sales you want up to odds of 1 in 2 doing that.

If the game rule is that the visitors offer to buy the top 3 most plentiful qualifying items in our barn/silo, then isn't it possible that the game will treat all those other crops -- of which you have one each - as the second most common crop in your silo, and they'll ask for any and all of them?

Or maybe we have to have more than 1 of the "top-3" since the visitors never ask for the entire quantity of our stock. They only ask for a portion. In which case, I guess it would work.

It's an interesting question/solution.

In my experience, if I have more than 3 types of items in equal amounts at the top of my barn, then the visitors will still ask for each or any of them.

So, say I have:

55 milk
50 each of axes, saws, shovels, popcorn, bread, bacon
45 eggs

I get in this situation a lot, and visitors will ask for any of these eight items, because they all technically occupy the top 3 spots in my barn.

I don't think that they ask for the third item. What's happening is that they decide what to buy once they enter the screen. By the time they have walked from the top-right corner of the screen to the end of your driveway you might have changed quantities: maybe you sold off or used what was #2 and it became #3. Or maybe you acquired more of #3 and now have more than what was #2 at the time.
