Dear supercell, concerning the global chat community

It seems OP is absolutely correct and some people are jumping on the same bandwagon and making it an 'us vs them' scenario and completely missing his point.

I dont think the OP is elligible to speak for something which involves indonesian players in a global encroached by all languages, Bahasa, Hindi, and English. What i say is that, either norsk people have a say on who should be on their global, or indonesian people have a say on whether they want their own global.

English speaking players should have no say regarding what norsk global should have or what indonesian people want as their global. Its not just "us" vs "them". Its "we" vs "the rest of them".

To be honest, this proves nothing but your obvious lack of comprehension as to how global and localisation works.

From your very first post, OP, you have said that "#6 Please give Indo players their own server". That is suggestive of localisation which has in fact happened more than a year ago with the Indonesian folks being sectioned off into a server and thus an Indonesian global of their own. At least 2 Indonesian forumers have confirmed this fact - something which you have quite obviously chosen to ignore.

You can email a Supercell Staff here at the Forums to confirm the above. They will confirm that Indonesia has its own server and will use the word "localised" when describing the fate that befell Indonesia.

What you are now suggesting - a language based server is something that you developed later on as the discussion progressed along.

When I originally referred to server, clealry, I was referring to something they do not have right now: a language server which is chosen by the language setting. It is the same way when you select a Norsk server.

What they have now is localization in the English server. So it is a session or group of sessions dedicated to them on the English server. But not a separate server dedicated to their language and selected by the language setting in the game.

So my suggestion of server cannot be referring to a localization of an existing English server.

Language Setting doesn't equal Global Language Server, they are a separate thing.

While it might be true that the English Language Server are sectioned off to many countries "sessions".
The most logical way of doing it is not like this.

When you choose English Settings, the game will check your Country ID, and you will then be sent to the appropriate Global Language Server based on your Country ID.
Which means that there is indeed an Indonesian, Malaysian, Philippines, etc2 Language Server.

That is a possibility.

If there was a fully dedicated Malaysian server, why not just add the language selector? Is it possible that they do not have the Malaysian translation for the game? Or they do not want to add a long list? Or they plan to add it in the future?

i think of a different possibility. To me the server is more than just a chat room. It does a whole lot more. I think supercell wants to do two things:

1) save on resources because they cannot have a dedicated server to every language group.

2) distribute resources per country.

If this is the case, it is possible the issue is more complicated. I am hypothesizing at this point. There are reasons why supercell do not have global in their newer games. It is a major simplification of this. And that is the reason I am here. I want to send the message to supercell that global is important and it is important to have more features.

I hear you. It would help a lot. Lately, there is a bot that is disrupting global. Everybody can ignore it except the players on the clouds. It is not enough that players wait hours up there, but they cannot mute too. Thank you for the comment

Dear supercell,


There is community which is larger, more diverse and more vibrant than any other community. It is the global chat communities. An important subset of them are adults who want to socialize and some high level players who want to chat while waiting for troops to train or waiting in the clouds. To this community, global chat is the reaosn to play this game. We are not looking for tedious challenges, we are adults looking to chill out after work and to socialize a little.

I noticed that many players have stopped playing and this can be traced to the fact many social aspects related to global chat has been ignored for ages.

What has been ignored is real features for those who love to chat in global:

1) the ability to ignore permantently a player forever. And maintain a global list of who is ignored. The ability to edit that list and remove some names

2) the ability to filter global by th-level, XP level, or even by regular expressions defined by users

3) as this community has multiple sections in the forum which are specialized, so the global community wants the same.

4) Please allow players in clouds the ability to mute

5) please remove the report function. Only decent and respectful players are getting reported

6) Please give indo players their own server.

7) the challenge was a nice idea. I have suggested it to you sometime ago. I am glad to see it in action. Please make it available in global chat.

8) Some players love to be clanless. Please make their stay more comfortable in global with these features.
