There is one major problem I have with this idea: the troop itself. By this, I mean that the Jester doesn't fit in with the medieval COC theme. He's more like the joker, and people like him don't exactly exist in a time period of magic and medieval stuff.

I do like his mechanics and his stats, but I think you should consider changing his aesthetics entirely so he fits with COC's medieval theme (or CR).

Neither does the Miners or Skeletons. And I hate that excuse "The Medieval Times"

Okay well most of them at least. And the skeletons are part of witches, which fit better in COC in terms of the actual troop.

I just though saying something doesn't fit with "The Medieval Times" is making an excuse to dismiss creativity.

    I agree, DarkSiren
But have you ever thought how a Dragon came into gameplay ? A Dragon is an ancient mythical lizard that breathes fire. Not all dragons were known to have wings either. Dragons were popular in medieval times.

Again, Archery was mastered back in the medieval ages. The French Crossbowmen and Rodeleros are famous medieval archers.

So it doesn't matter about the origin of the troop. Jesters were entertainment in Shakespearean times and also in Late Medieval. So he does fit in Medieval Ages.

    Thanks for your query

Who said I was "dismissing creativity"? I do like his idea, but I'm pretty sure 95% of the people wouldn't like it if a troop like the joker came in. Or do you think modern-day stuff like that belongs in a mythical/medieval (yes i said medieval) based game?

Besides, one or two non-medieval troops in the game out of 20+ does not change the fact that the game is set in medieval (yes i said it again) times. If the Jester blends in with the theme, then great, I would love to see him be the 8th dark troop, but not if he comes in wielding modern-day stuff.

That's I didn't agree with the Miner when it came out. And skeletons kind of do fit the medieval theme.

Actually the miner does fit in the "Medival Theme" as during the "Medival Times" there were miners and they used candles to see in the dark, as the CoC miner shows
