i'm going through the tough times

OK, people this is my FOURTH day in a row i got 3-starred. BY LEVEL 5 TROOPS! and their XP level? like around 80. AND I'M ONLY LVL 61! i know i can't change anything about it. It's so annoying how i keep getting 3-starred by people who are 20 levels higher than me and a whole town hall higher, and losing 220K of each resource each time I keep getting raided! i remember when my base you to do so good, even giant-healer couldn't succeed becuase of my barb king, just a couple of times my base failed against it. and those couple times? were 2 of my 4 times getting 3-starred! i mean, the giant-healer that failed, had defenses that weren't as good as the succeeding giant-healer! sorry if that was confusing.

and when my base was good, i was able to get so much loot with a cheap and effective army, and still only lose 20K at the max of each resource! and now when i actually have a lot of loot, i'm being targeted by higher level players!

so can someone please visit my base, info is in sig, and tell me if i'm being targeted by higher level players, because

1. bad base
2. lot of loot
3. both
4. coincidence
5. other

and am i being targeted like this because of my trophy range? how these higher level players can't find anyone with good loot at a low trophy range? and will the solution be to go higher in trophies? so i will seem like a low-loot person? or is that bad?

and even worse I'm maxed out on elixir (currently under a shield with full storages) so i have nothing to spend it on!

so that'll make me even a bigger target, cuz even if some TH10 comes along and 3-stars me, they'll still take a minimum of 200K elixir, because my storages are full!

so again, my main question is why i keep getting three-starred by higher level players

I checked your base and to be honest I find it bad. You need more pockets, but not so big pockets. You have two mortars and a cannon next to each other, that makes no sense. 3-4 lightnings and their gone.

Big tip: Remodel the base and use more pocketed spaces/funneling.

BTW: Center your CC. It's not meant to be in the outer perimeter.

the 2 mortars aren't supposed to be next to each other. since its upgradung its in that order. but really its supposed to be mortar,AD,mortar,AD,mortar

I would attack you if I found you if you had plenty of loot. Looks like you are working on maxing your defenses there which is a plus. I would recommend maxing everything at TH7 before moving to 8 because of loot penalties/
bonus' as you will be able to raid premature 8,9,and 10s and gain more at the proper trophy level. As for your base in my opinion I would try to redesign it separating storages with walls and protecting them with wiz towers still(like your wiz towers are now but with walls separating all storages more) I would try to centralize Clan castle, dark elixir storage, and mortars due to their long range. All in all keep upgrading but work with your base design separating more storages and defenses, as an attacker could easily get inside the main square and send mass goblin for all loot. Keep Clashing!

your base needs an extreme makeover... segment/separate your storages and set up your splash defenses to cover them. right now you just have everything in one big open space, so 4 wallbreakers and anyone can pretty much clean you out without much effort. In all honesty as a hall 7 you can't really expect to defend against alot of attacks from higher levels, but redesigning the layout can help minimize losses. Check the base designs thread if you need some ideas.

There I would have thought, that someone who has been on the forums for that long and that active, would know how things work... Clearly I was mistaken.

- Levels don't mean a thing. You get xp for donating, upgrading stuff, destroying THs and removing obstacles. So someone with much higher level might have spent much less effort on upgrading but just donated tons.
- TH7s will get steamrolled by Th8s when they have good loot available. Sometimes TH9ers might hit if you containers have enough and mines/pumps are full, but as Th9 already gets a loot penalty of 50% against Th7, you will not lose the max amount. Ever. TH10 going for containers of Th7 is just...sad.
- best way for Th7 to protect resources is dividing them as far as it is possible but still protected.

@dafosta yes i am maxing out my defenses, yes im going to max out everything b4 moving onto TH8, no im not DE farming which is why its not super protected, but i dont want to leave it unprotected

@OJM i visited their places. and as you know, destrying TH, removing obstacles,etc., doesn't give you much XP. the biggest source of XP(apart from building upgrades) id troop donations. but i had visited their places, they are like TH8 and TH9, almost maxed out,etc.

and to everyone, i have had worse bases before. i once had a base where everything was behind the walls,including army camps, yet 3-star battles only happened once in every 20 battles. usually at the most 1 or 2 star. my second terrible base, 2 WB gave access, to all my loot, gold mines,collectors,storages, DE storage, except for town hall. 3-stars happened once in every 30 battles there. usually i got 1-starred. then with this base, my best, did pretty well, until i maxed out elixir. once i maxed out elixir, i had full storages, and boy i was targeted. i mean 3-starred 4 days in a row? do u think my base is that bad to get 3-starred 4 days in a row? and that to i have 5 defense upgrading ATM, i got attacked by lvl 6 giants last night, but usually its lvl 5 troops. and wats up with lvl 5 troops? when i get attacked by lvl 5 or 6 troops, by base is either 2 or 3-starred, when its lvl 4 troops or below, at the max they can only take half a storage, with a win, and if its lvl 30s or so, then its a 1-star (going for town hall), and like 5K resources stolen of each.

Are you actually defending your base when you asked us for improvements and we bash it? Ok. Good.

hmm... it couldve been a coincidence, that when you visited my base, they were lvl 1 but when u clicked on the army camps, by then they were lvl 2. i dunno
