I partially agree, but why do we attack? For trophies or for resources to better our bases. Therefore endgame strategy is all about having the best base then fighting up the ladders. Best base means we can concentrate on endgame so by that logic the better a base the better the player in overall stats. Attacking helps towards endgame but it's all about the town too =]

True a maxed base means better overall stats. But look at the quote below you said to RR you are better because you have a better base. After that you said a better base increases overall stats so by that logic it doesn't make you better than him because you have to consider who has a better attack strategy.

This might be true on a game that didn't have any option to pay real money to advance. But clash of clans have in-app purchases like most games do and having a maxed base is by no means a true indicator of being a good player whatsoever. For all we know, a player with a maxed base has a bottomless pocket for gemming. :P

That's why the only reliable indicator of skill is raiding and having videos to show how good of a raider you are is the only way for people to see your skills as a clasher. :P

I haven't seen Code Red raid but it's most likely he has done some questionable methods to stay online all day so he doesn't get attacked by people and also gemmed endlessly to keep brewing spells and troops for raid. I respect him as a gemmer, but not as a cup chaser.

He hasn't got the chance to get level 4 xbows yet because he is enjoying upgrading his base by working hard through farming, not by emptying his wallet for gems.
