Birthday Deco - Unconventional Way

Agree with BostonGirl. we should give presents to the birthday person, not the other way around.

OTOH, it is rather tacky to ask for presents in such a crass way. Gift registry writ large, lol.

When you have a birthday party you invite all that you appreciate to share in that day, you provide food and drink and maybe even entertainment at your cost, the gift from the visitor is a token of appreciation for that not your god given right. And a gift should never be expected or demanded.

So what has SC done for its guests? an event which was a total mess demanding huge quantities of new items most did not have resulting in I am sure many many many players spending diamonds on tom etc. (and I do not believe for one moment this was not intentional) and instead of giving the decor (the food drink and entertainment) or even offering it in a way that majority can enjoy they demand a HUGE payment, how many guests will they have at their next birthday do you think?

And meh that chocolate fountain will remain in my store, wish I could give it away, as it leaves a real bad taste in my mouth.

I just removed the 3 years cake and replaced it by one of my picnic banks. THe 4 years fountain will be in store...

The event we had this year didn't specifically demand any huge quantities of new items, at least generally speaking. It all depends on your level (obviously), what orders you have and all you needed to do was 4 truck orders to get to the global event. You can/could easily trash tasks which were too demanding. Just as with any truck event we have had.

Oh I most definitely did trash those tasks, but read through the forums and see some of the responses that were given by the support team, I read a few comments over the weekend where players was told they could higher tom, despite the comment made that non working filter issue should not affect upcoming events, there for it lead me to the conclusion this was done purposefully for one intention only.
There for no appreciation shown to the players that have stuck by you guys and supported the game for the last 4 years.
You have your perspective and I have mine, I am sure you agree that that is just fine.

I got excited when I read the announcement about special diamond packages for only one week.

Then I got disappointed to find that there was no bargain on the price of diamonds. The limited time packages include one different amount of diamonds (130) and a special decoration. I am not buying any. Sigh.

Supercell already 'provided' food and drink for the birthday... you forget the 23 new food and drinks items in the update???

You better take that thing out of your storage and put it somewhere in your farm/town and cover it with a tree if you don't like the sight of it. Because the game can take it back. In the past players put decors in the storage and they disappeared and had long fights with the support team to get them back, some succeeded some failed. Then you may have to purchase the chocolate fountain in next year's birthday event, if you change your heart..

The filter, which in fact seems to be working (we will need to improve it though) despite all feedback back and fort, filters out boat orders for x-amount of time when the update is available. The filter filters out new products from new production buildings, but not new products produced in old production buildings. Nor does it filter out truck orders, or visitor orders. Those are things we will look into.

Hiring Tom is a good way to easily & quickly get necessary items, and I don't see any problems with our support offering it as an option. It's a part of the game, a feature.

Even if you put a deco ON Your Farm, they can snatch it back up and refuse to give it back. This is happening to me right now with the harp deco, which I got from the gift catalog vouchers. I received it, I placed it on my farm, and the game snatched it away. They say they cannot give it back to me. They say they have no way to do that. This is a falsehood! They know it, I know it, but they are being paid to lie, cheat and steal.

Gazzanga only players that had diamonds to finish machines in time or hire tom could partake of the said food and drink. It genuinely was an issue for many players. I used that as an example that many players did not feel the celebration vibe with that botched event, it was very disappointing for many.

I don't care if the take the cake back it won't stain my farm land.
