You really want dragons to attack defense that taregts them, that would make them only taget sir targetting defenses. If that would happend dragons would be to op
LOL, agreeeeeed :V
So you want dragons to be like hogs or giants? Ah hell nah
I feel the same way, but not the way you said it. wizards and drags seem to go out of the way to destroy things that dont even matter, just leave the thing next to them, and go for something 4 blocks away.
I challenge you to look at a th8 or above base and show me an air targeting defense that is not in range of any eair targeting defense.
Easier challenge: looking at the range of all the air targeting defenses, find a base where they don't make 1 mass of air targeting area.
If you have found a base that completes the second challenge, how many groups does it have? Is there one group thats larger than the other? That group can be mass dragoned, take out the group pretty easily, and still have plenty of juice for the second.
If a base has a grouping of air targeting area, that group is dead. Bases would need lots of small groupings to have a chance.
Now we run into another problem, a base so spread out itsbair targeting defenses are in small groups, can't kill a dragon in time, much less 8 or 9. Why 8 or 9? Cause people can then send other air troops like minions or baby dragons to take out the remaining trash buildings the dragpns started targeting and then turned away from because they got in range of a defense. The troops coming in behind don't even need to worry about traps, the dragons already ate them all up.
Oh and dont thinks traps and defenses will take out the dragons before the base is too crippled to defend. There are spells like heal spells to take care of that damage, and rage spells will not only get the dragons to the defenses quicker, but also increase their damage. The defenses would have no time to do anything to the dragons. (Theyre attacking them one on one because a large group would just get demolished by a pack of raged dragons)
The defenses that would do the most are the inferno towers, air defenses, and eagle artillery. Each of these would be destroyed quickly.
Firstthe inferno tower. On multi, it does pretty much no damage, and it will target multiple dragons so its just going to get mobed. How about on single? Well it takes a b it of time for the damage to rack up. Once ot locks onto a dragon, the dragon is going to charge the tower. Now it may or may not still have enough time to take out the dragpn, but under rage, no chance, the inferno is gone.
How about air defenses? You end up with a similar thing to the inferno on single. Under a rage spell, the air defense doesn't have a chance to take out a dragon.
Ok, maybe we'll have more luck with the eagle artillery. Well it takes forever to reload so once it gets a single round off, its don before it can get a second. Not only that, but at th11 you get access to a guy called the grand warden that can make dragons invincible as they go through some high dps.add a rage spell and an entire section of the bases defense has just disappeared with minimal losses to the attacker. A well timed gw ability could also ensure the dragons only get hit by one or two volleys of the eagle artillery and survive to destroy it.
Have you noticed a pattern yet? The dragons seem to be destroying anything that makes a large dent in them before it can make said dent. I wonder why...?
The problem is that dragons get taken out by being under high dps for a long time. This can only be accomplished if they can get delayed by other buildings. If the dragons are under fire, they don't get delayed. If they are being delayed, they're not taking damage. This is the reason clustered bases and very spread out ones would both stand no chance if dragons targeted defenses that they were taking damage from.
(Also incase you think important defenses behind less important defenses, like archer towers would work, thanks for letting me get all the value i could ever want from a freeze)
In Bases Above th9 and th9 xbows come so you think what would happen as there range of air is too high
