Greetings! I am the leader of the newly founded Democratic Union of Clashers, a clan dedicated to the principle of Democratic Centralism. Lenin put it best when he said, "Freedom of discussion, unity of action." I believe that maxim perfectly suits this clan and what it hopes to achieve.
Just like any other clan, this one is going to face issues and will at some point make tough decisions. But instead of excluding ordinary members from the thought process, the leaders should aim to create an inclusive atmosphere in which all voices are heard. At the same time, it would be disastrous if a myriad of ideas floated around and the clan couldn't reach an agreement. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the whole clan to stick to one solution.
But how would a group of players who live separately from each other come to a final conclusion? That is why the clan will be led by democratically elected officials. These consist of the President, the Supervisors, and the members of the Action Committee. They are members of the clan who are willing to put their knowledge and expertise to the test in order to make the clan experience smoother and more enjoyable for their counterparts, members who run on tight schedules and are busy with their other activities. Members in positions of authority are expected to have experience, hold themselves to a higher standard, and, most of all, devote their time and effort to the clan.
That said, I would be remiss to forgo the regular members, the backbone of the clan. They, too, have a say in shaping the clan. There are two main ways they can influence clan policy: the initiative and the referendum. To keep things simple, both act as a means of collectively voting on a proposed measure. For example, a clan member may suggest a new idea. The whole clan would then take it to a vote. The suggestion can pass or fail.
