Really hope a mod/staff member has been reading and monitoring this thread, because this idea is genius and one which would make more people push, because it's a true test of skill.

PvP is the only way legends is ever going to work. There has been broad consensus here already for months.
Posts like these hopefully help convincing SC to recruit a few extra programmers and get this on the road.
Clouds are bearable if you have a lot of free time on your hands. I didn't mind them in the summer when I was 4 weeks off from work.
But as soon as I started working again I could not do enough attacks in the evenings to make up for the two defensive losses I had to take in between.
And that sucks. The top should consist of the strongest players. Not those who have a life where they can jump on their tablet whenever a base has been found.

I have a easier one:
There are three things that I consider as truth when I think about this subject (cloud issue).
- Only high-end bases move up to really high (titans and legend). There are few over there but they are crushed regularly;
- To stay at the top you need to be available to play the game, attack behind the shield or in sessions (to make cup net positive, lose 5 gain 15);
- There are no unbeatable bases. Any mid-tiers army can get at least one star (if you can do it you don't belong in legends anyway);
Two steps solution:
#A - Make all bases visible across the board (from Bronze to Legend): You will be able to find a base in any cup level and you won't longer be able to hide in low leagues;
Result: NO MORE CLOUDS! NO MORE HIDING!
#B - Change the cup system to a simpler one, || 1 star: (+/-) 5 cups || 2 star: (+/-) 10 cups || 3 star: (+/-) 15 cups ||.
Result: THE LEAGUE YOU ARE WILL DEPEND IN HOW MUCH DO YOU ATTACK BEHIND SHIELDS, JUST LIKE NOW.
This will provide some profitable for those who actually play the game.
Casuals will continue as casuals in low leagues since they are never available to play the game.
My system for trophies actually separates the best from the rest. A one star attack offers little trophy gain, it'll be those who can two and three star that will have the highest success. This prevents those who scrape by on one star victories from being able to push with the rest. Players will lose more trophies than they gain if the better players are always beating their one star. I think it is a good setup.
