    And of course, that the number of unshielded bases is still finite, so it doesn't get rid of clouds completely...the clouds would re-appear at some point, but stretching over even more leagues....as has been said a number of times throughout this thread.

    Legends is already treated differently. There would be nothing wrong with trying out pvp in legends only and giving it a try. If it stinks change it back after a few months. As I noted earlier, maybe even a test run at 5500+ for a couple months first.

    Yea those people hanging low would no longer have a reason to do so. Everyone pushes. But now you have a pool of EVERYONE your townhall level +/-1. There would be no clouds at all.

    And what is longer with a lower townhall higher up? That just means they are the best of their level. It takes nothing away from the top townhalls but gives lower levels something to shoot for as well. But even then there will always be bigger bases than them so the food chain will ensure they don't climb too high if everyone pushes.

    The argument against any change is always "people will quit". Well we hear that every single update. Let them quit, the game needs to improve and my suggestion is simple and will fix the problems. Once they see and hear how much better the trophy system is, they will be back.

    But is the whole problem for your idea, that everyone will push? Why should I push, what is there for me to push for? I'm already maxed TH11. I have spent 2 months in hell (Legend) why would I ever go there again. What's is in it for me?
    I'm really not alone with that feeling, I know you live and breath on that Legend badge, but I can't really care about it.

    What you are giving is players like me a chance to annoy some Legend players when we go hunt for them, just for the fun of picking a lot of trophies (40+ trophies) from them.

    And you don't seem to understand the speed a TH3-5 can attack vs the speed of a TH11. The top players in Legend would be TH3-5 with to much time on their hands as they can attack every 2-3 minutes for 2-3 stars. Talking about a gem-frenzy that no TH7-11 can keep up with.

    I am not a legend player yet, i hope i have enough dedication to make it. But still to this day peeps push to champs for the gem bonus. Why not add a titan and legend gem achievement. Make titan a 50 dollar gem pack and legend a 100 dollar gem pack. Or somewhere arou f there maybe 5k formtitan and 10k for legend. Not that many legend players will need the gems b i bet it wud get a lot more th10's and th9's pushing up there.

    i dunno it may just a short term solution, since many will drop back down after they reach the achievement or they may realize hey its not too bad up here, and stay therefore slowly increasing the amount of bases up high for the search que.

    I do agree many would find it isn't so bad up there, because that is what I think. If you have the ability to have a device running for an hour straight, it isn't bad at all. Many people don't have that ability, though, and they would go up just to get the gem bonus and then go back down. A smaller sustained gem bonus, like weekly, might have more of an impact.

    In the end, the best option I have heard is still the player vs. player system. It doesn't have to be complicated. If you are in legends and you start a search, you match with another legend also searching and you each attack each other at the same time (without knowing the name of the person you are attacking). When you attack, if you get no stars you get no cups, 1 star 5 cups, 2 stars 10 cups, 3 stars 15 cups, but at the same time someone is attacking you and taking 0-15 of your cups. You would need to have the ability to have a "defensive" cc on standby to defend with, perhaps that you can donate to yourself. Loot would have to be adjusted.

    Or just go to the start of this thread and see a detailed plan that would be worth a try.

    *sigh* - forget about a "special" (ie different) gameplay mechanic SPECIFICALLY for legends league - it's never going to happen for a variety of obvious reasons.

    now, if this was an additional gameplay option ALTERNATIVE to cup pushing - maybe it has some merit.

    It would be fun for a week, then most people would never again use that feature. So That would be wasted developer time too.

    Just a little note for the ideas about making more people push up in trophies. More people up means more clouds not the other way around. People who take time to push that high aren't going up to just sit & defend. They are looking for at least 5 battle per shield. Which means for every attack they offer for other they are asking for 5. The difference is what causes clouds. Thus when you add 1000 people up they will give 1000 defences & need 5000 attacks (theoretically).

    The current system can't adapt to how players play. Look at CR as an example where currently 500k players are above 4k. Still no clouds because for every attack there is a defence. This same thing can apply above 5k in clash & since it is already implementedin CR then the team won't need to start from scratch as with almost every idea lately they add clash. If & when this happens I will see playing above 5k as a good option
