Too many coins? There could never be too many coins! Why would you want to get rid of that? Don't you want production machines, etc? I am always striving at getting more coins. I'm at somewhere in the 3 900 000 range! At the moment. I don't want to be caught not able to get the pasta kitchen and hot dog machine, which costs mega-coins! As ilovehayday says, you have more coins than you will ever need for machines or new features. Unless you want to buy a bunch of the million-coin gold statues, you should be all set for decorations, too. You currently have over a million coins more than I do, and about 3 million coins more than I had at your level.
On the topic of BigDaddy's original post, I completely agree that it would be delightful to have more decorations available for coins. I'm even okay with the ones that increase in price with each purchase. (Recall the success of the daffodils at Easter!) I really would like to see some very special decorations other than the gold statuary that are only available for a lot of coins. My personal "dream decos" include a waterfall that would look like it's coming down the cliff and a lighthouse.

I've got all the machines and everything that can be bought with coins. Eventually they start piling up and I don't have anything useful left to buy
I enjoy being able to help members of my neighbourhood by selling items cheaply, even if I bought them at full price. I also help them by occasionally selling at 1 gold and buying back at full price several times, so that some of my wealth gets spread around.
I've taken to buying out shops in the paper below level 29 - doesn't matter what they're selling, indigo, wheat, eggs, I buy it all. It keeps my coins under control and spreads the wealth around. But I do want something more to spend it on. A treehouse, a dirty working tractor, a water pump, a tree swing, a lighthouse, a hammock, a little red wagon, more flowers, seasonal trees ... anything, really. And more trees and bushes and machines too, please

Totally. There definitely comes a time--when all machines are bought--that one has all these coins and nothing to spend them on. I have a few million and no machines to buy. Since I am not into the gold statues, it would be great to have something fun to use them on. Or even machines for 100+ plus levels.
I do as 00becker does and buys from low-level shops to give them a boost. I know what it was like in the lower-levels needing coins to buy tools.

I totally agree! It would be nice if we can buy nice things with coins instead of diamonds (how mad I shopped the daffodils). I already bought the golden statues but refused to buy the golden walls etc (I don't like them). So a couple of weeks ago, I started to sell bems tems and sems at default price (mainly for my gc friends). Yet I have nearly 13 million coins (and growing).
For those with a lower level: there surely comes the day when you have more coins than you can spend! Be patient and until then: sell sell sell
