You really think SC would even the playing field by introducing a feature that almost replicates modding? I think this whole thing was just a ploy to boost SC image and they planned all of this the entire time.

I'm sorry but ANY skilled player would be against "legal sandboxing" which is what you're arguing in favour of. Sandboxing removes skill from the equation and simply provides a trial and error process of infinite repetition for unskilled players to try and crack bases in wars. After the fix the FC system will allow unskilled players to close the gap by practicing strategies and techniques OUTSIDE of clan wars to then later apply that practice INSIDE of clan wars. Allowing unskilled players to become skilled players. The system you're advocating simply ruins the competitive environment of clan wars and makes it simply a game of repetition.

That would be called good marketing! This gets SC's name out and people keep talking about it, giving SC free PR and exposure. This also helps to bring people back to the game and helps rebuild the clan social aspect that has been declining since the December update. Every successful company in the world plans things out way in advance.

I don't think that FC was ever thought out as a war attack simulation feature. Most likely it was developed to mirror the similar feature that exists in CR but the dev team forgot about CW

Low skill player could sandbox until the world ends and they still wouldn't be able to crack a base. repetition doesn't guaranty a triple, you still need to know the mechanics. That being said I will agree with your last point, it would make the game boring.

My biggest problem is that FC will now be completely useless for base design (someone mentioned having multiple base set up with slightly different trap placements but that person clearly doesn't understand base design mechanics). I was really looking forward to having someone attaxk my base, tweak it, attack it again and so on...that is no longer an option

My lack of knowledge of base design mechanics aside, you didn't address my second point that this will be infinitely better than what we have now. What you have rejected as an option is an option, it will just take you 24 hrs between tries. Which, compared to the current non-availability of FC, is a massive improvement.
