haha. nice. It doesn't really matter how many signatures it gets, but it would be nice to have the report button removed, now that we have mute.

Before I add this to the sticky, I just want to confirm one thing.

It isn't so much you want the report button removed, you want the fact that 7 different reports gets you banned for 24 hours removed right.

I doubt very much SC has the staff to go through millions of actual "Reports" somewhere, but if the report option still existed, it just sent the bad text off to get reviewed at a later time, or monitored trends with users, it would still be desired?

To add to this a bit, I don't think SC thought this feature through very well. By not replacing the report with the mute, SC has given these kids one more reason to report you. "You muted me so now I'm going to report you". They have given even more pseudo power to these players by giving you the option of ignoring them.

OK, I merged 4 or 5 threads from a few different sub-forums. It's more an idea than a bug or something for general.

I've see most of the threads, I've seen the polls, the off-forums petition, the arguments.

I agree, but I'm a mod.

I've added these 2 lines to the sticky:
* Add an unmute option for accidental muting - or have a list showing all muted to pick certain unmutes
* Remove the "Report" button/feature from global chat. Abused too often, and mute is better solution

I've given my support within our mod/dev channel. Supercell is aware. I'm not sure if they were waiting an update or two to make sure the mute feature was working without kinks, but I'm hopeful they will make a decision within a few update cycles.

If reports were ACTUALLY LOOKED AT I would say that it should stay, but since not i say what's the point.

They can't have people look at every report realistically because that would take too long.

But if you say "within a few update cycles" we're probably talking months here..

Trying to build a clan and not being able to recruit for it because getting banned every time is very frustrating to say the least!
Happened to me 4 times this week!!! :-((

I don't think this is "more an idea" or shouldn't be in general as you stated, but rather a rampant problem that needs to be corrected as it affects a lot of global chat users who enjoy the social aspect of this game.

For me personally global/clan chat is what kept me playing for so long, take that away and I'm done here..

Better be quick SC....the people are revolting over one small thing that i hate..
