Past Used By (PUB) is an competitive, elite, and fairplay war clan in Clash of Clans. We are a group of international passionate Clashers, addicted to wars. We specialize in 3-star strategies and 3-star constantly in war. Expect all TH9s and sometimes even all TH10s 3-starred in every war. We have a high reading of the game and game mechanics, with years of experience. Several of us were leaders or members in some of the best fairplay clans out there, including OneHive, PwC, War Whales, Reddit Ion, Poetic Darkness, and Reddit Raiders, who decided to stick together and start our own clan. We are almost always seeking to expand our lineup and are looking forward to doing scrims and arranged wars.
II: Clan Mission and Qualities
Past Used By's mission is to unite 3-star perfectionists from all over the world together to practice their craft. PUB was established for the serious Clashers who strive for perfection in Clan Wars. Together as a group of like-minded warriors, PUB aims to strategically crush its enemies through intensive planning, close coordination, and elite raiding abilities.
Qualities Required to Join:
Loyalty: You must be loyal and stick with us. No clan hoppers allowed. If we lose a war don't rage quit.
Activity: If you want to be in a top elite war clan you must be online frequently in order to support the clan. Just logging on once a day to "check" isn't enough.
Perseverance: You must be willing to improve at every opportunity. If you lose a battle don't give up.
Humor: We like to joke around in the clan, so if you get offended easily this clan may not be for you.
III: Rules
Here are some rules to guide your behavior in the clan. Every clan has rules, and we do to. Make sure to follow them to avoid being kicked or benched out of wars.
General Rules:
- Be friendly and avoid drama.
- Be mature. Although we have no age requirement, all members are expected to act as adults.
- Respect other members.
- Must be active frequently, including participating in chat.
- Do not ask for promotions. They are earned.
- Must be a good teammate. Help when you are able too, give advice when you can, and always think about the clan's good first.
- Must use LINE for communication, especially for war-related things.
Donation Rules:
- Must keep donation ratio minimum 1:3.
- Donate at least 1000 troops per season.
- Donate ONLY what is requested.
- Please put "for war" for war troop requests. Ex. Max golem for war.
- Don't request certain level troops for farming/defense unless you are in Masters League or above.
War Rules:
- Must use ClashCaller to reserve targets. One call at a time. Calls typically last for 8 hours.
- In tough/arranged wars, must post attack plans on LINE (images would be very helpful).
- Must opt into all wars in which you are available. If you opt out you must have a valid reason (ex. going on vacation, upgrading heroes, etc).
- Must war with both heroes up.
- Never farm in wars.
- Gowipe or similar attacks are NEVER allowed except on scout attacks.
- Scout upper TH bases if all of your TH bases are completed. If none are available do a practice attack.
IV: Requirements
We are a serious war clan, so requirements are necessary in order to pick up legitimate 3-star attackers. We are currently recruiting TH9+ players who know 3-star strategies for their Town Hall level, including hog and balloon based attacks.
NOTE: If you are a TH9.5, TH10.5, or anything else of that sort, please try applying, and we may or may not accept you in based on an individual basis. We do not have specific set requirements for .5 and .75 bases. Also, if you have an extreme engineered base, we may also consider that as well.
Common Requirements for All Players:
- Must be completely fairplay. See VI: Fairplay Guidelines for more information.
- Must be able to 3-star equal level bases most of the time, using 3-star strategies. For TH10+, you must be able to 2-star equal level bases and occasionally 3-star when needed.
- Must have basic knowledge of current-meta base design.
- Must use both attacks each war. And the attacks can't be mindless; you must plan each attack carefully.
- Must have knowledge of how to upgrade your base to keep your war weight low. (Ex. Don't upgrade x-bows first.)
- Cannot be rushed. Exceptions apply for specifically engineered accounts (such as defenseless bases) for an advantage in war.
- Must be willing to download LINE for communication. See V: Clan Communication Apps for more information..
- Must use ClashCaller to call bases, and respect other people's calls.
- Must be willing to learn from mistakes and willing to improve, and listen to co-leader/leader suggestions.
Town Hall 9 Requirements:
- Everything was maxed at TH8 (including walls).
- Max army camp space (220).
- Level 5 clan castle.
- Level 7 air defenses.
- Level 7 teslas.
- Level 5 hogs.
- Level 6 balloons.
- Level 2 hounds.
- Combined heroes level 40+.
- Must have knowledge in GoLaLoon, GoHo, GoVaHo, Queen Walk (if Queen lvl 20+), etc. to 3-star equal-level TH9s.
Town Hall 10 Requirements:
- Everything was maxed at TH9.
- Max army camp space (240).
- Level 6 clan castle.
- Level 9+ walls.
- Level 8 air defenses.
- Level 8 teslas.
- Level 3 hounds.
- Level 5 valks.
- Combined heroes level 60+.
- Must have knowledge in GoLaLoon, Queen Walk, and 2-star strategies to 2-star and sometimes 3-star other TH10s.
Town Hall 11 Requirements:
- Everything was maxed at TH10.
- Max army camp space (240).
- Level 9+ walls.
- Level 5 valks.
- Level 3 bowlers.
- Combined heroes (BK+AQ) level 70+.
- Grand Warden level 5+.
- Must have knowledge in GoLaLoon, Queen Walk, and 2-star strategies to 2-star and sometimes 3-star other TH11s and TH10s.
V: Clan Communication Apps
In Past Used By, we use an app called LINE for communication. LINE can be downloaded on iOS and Android mobile devices for free. For more information about this app, please visit the LINE website: http://line.me/en/.
All members are required to download this application upon acceptance into the clan. We use this app for communication through chat and announcements. All attack plans, ClashCaller codes, and leadership announcements will be posted in LINE.
Upon acceptance into PUB, one of our leadership representatives will add you to our LINE group.
If you leave the clan you will be removed from our LINE group.
If you have trouble with LINE, please feel free to ask another member of the clan and he/she will assist you. LINE should be a relatively straight-forward communication app to use, and is similar to other applications such as iMessage, GroupMe, and Kik.
We also use an app called Skitch to draw plans for bases, especially during tough/arranged wars. Plans can be posted on LINE as an image drawn in Skitch, and others can give feedback on these plans easily.
Unfortunately, Skitch is only available on iOS and OS X. On iOS, download the free app from the App Store here. On Mac, download the free app from the Mac App Store here. Android or PC alternatives can be found in this article.
To use Skitch, simply take a screenshot of the base you plan to attack. You can use the tools provided in Skitch, such as arrows, lines, circles, and text, to explain your plan on the base. After you are done, you can post your completed image in LINE for others to review and comment on.
Skitch is not required except during tough/arranged wars, but is recommended at all times.
If you have trouble with Skitch, please feel free to ask another member of the clan and he/she will assist you.
VI: Fairplay Guidelines
The Past Used By family is a fairplay environment. Cheating, including modding and botting, is not tolerated to any extent. Any signs of cheating will result in immediate and permanent removal from the clan. Because there is a lot of debate about what is considered cheating and what is not, here are some guidelines/rules on this matter.
What does fairplay mean?
To be a fairplay clan means that the clan does not use any 3rd party software to gain an advantage in the game, whether it is in war or in farming. This includes mods and bots.
I use third party software in farming/trophy pushing. Is this okay in Past Used By?
No. We do not allow ANY third party software to gain an advantage in any aspect of the game.
I used to use mods, but I quit that and now I'm fairplay. Can I still join PUB?
The answer to this question is at the discretion of PUB leadership. If we believe you have truly quit using mods then we may allow you in. However you will be required to attack all fresh bases, meaning that you must attack bases that have not been attacked yet. This guarantees that you will not be able to "sandbox" attack already-attacked bases.
Is PUB really 100% fairplay?
No, we cannot guarantee that there are no modders in our family. Although we examine all attacks for suspicious activity, very few, if not none, players may get past that. All cheaters whatsoever will be kicked from our clan once they are proven to have used 3rd party software to gain an advantage in the game.
How about spying?
Spying is NOT allowed in PUB. Spying is the act of sending a representative to the enemy clan in war to receive all trap and defending clan castle troops data. In our family, this is not tolerated and will count as cheating.
What if someone is suspected to be cheating in the clan?
If a player is suspected to be a modder, the PUB leadership will investigate the matter seriously. Recent war attacks will be examined for signs of cheating, and a deeper examination may be necessary. If proof is found, the player will be kicked immediately without hesitation.

IX: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Where do most of the PUB members live?
Most of us live in the United States or Canada. It would be helpful but not required if you live in the same area as most of us so it is easier to contact you when we are awake, and to avoid other time zone issues.
Is PUB a chatty clan?
Yes, most of the time, we tend to be very active in game chat. Expect a conversation always going on whenever you're online. Sometimes we chat about game-related things, such as war attacks or new Clash of Clans update information. Other times we chat about off-topic things, such as real-life happenings. Please note that most of us are in the United States or Canada, so time zones may be an issue if you live on the other side of the world.
Outside of war, does PUB joke around a lot?
Yes, our clan tends to be more on the relaxed side outside of war. We like to joke around with each other, but we make sure not to offend anyone. If you join our clan understand that everything you see in chat may not be serious.
Does PUB allow swearing?
Our clan allows swearing as long as it's not offensive to anyone. If someone tells you to stop please stop.
What should I expect for donations?
Expect instant or nearly instant max troop donations from our clan. We are very active and most of us possess max troops (after clan perks), whether it be wizards for farming, golems for war, or dragons for defense.
Does PUB do clan trophy pushes or other events besides wars?
Yes, we occasionally may do a clan trophy push for fun and for recruitment. Our last long one was in October-November 2015 when the clan got to almost 40,000 points.
What if I don't attack in a war?
Since PUB is a war clan, you must use both attacks every single war if you are opted in. If you miss your attacks in war, there will be consequences, except if the reason is a real-life emergency (such as a family emergency). The first violation will result in a warning, but repeated violations will have further consequences, including being removed from the clan. It will depend on the war that the clan is in. For example, if we are in a very tough arranged war and you miss your attack, you will get a bigger punishment than if we are in an easy war that we have already won. Obviously, if you can't get any more stars or there are no scout bases available in a war, then using both attacks are not necessary, however we still encourage practice attacks.
What happens if I don't get 3-stars (2-stars for TH10+) consistently in war?
We don't expect a 3 star every single attack, but if you don't get a 3 star in a while, that's a problem. Demotions or removal from the clan are possible consequences, depending on the circumstances.
Are loot attacks ever allowed in war?
No, loot attacks (attacks done solely for the war loot bonus) are never allowed in PUB in any war unless specifically allowed by a leader. People who do loot attacks may get kicked immediately because it shows no dedication to the war effort.
