This is going to be a great change for Clash of Clans lovers . Clash of Clans is updating more after the launch of Clash Royale. It seems That they are competitors now . It is a great Thing , Friendly Battles were first introduced in Clash Royale .
This is a Huge advantage of having 2 awesome & most popular games by same developers.
It will help people (like me) who are not very good at war attacks .
    Thank you SUPERCELL!

It has been a breath of fresh air to go into war knowing that the best clan will win. Now, that will not be the case after giving a clan all of prep day and war day to practice on a base. Yes, we will not know with 100% certainty where traps and teslas are but most of the time it is not hard to guess. I have hope that SC will put some restrictions on this challenge or else it is one big slap in the face to all the people who clamored for and enjoyed fair play wars. Anyone see a bright side to this update?
Bright side is my wife will be happy that I've stopped playing CoC lol

Just need some clarifications on this update

    1. Is this feature going to be available during war?

    2. Are troops used to attack friend's base will disapear like normal raids and attacks?

    3. How will this feature affect the economy?

Totally agreed! There seems to be a handful of base types that are easily found in the clouds to practice on already and there was nothing stopping someone from copying a base and removing the shield and pers break to see how they were attacked by random players either. This update may lead to other updates and so on... I am not sure myself if I "like" it, but will give it a shot and see how it all plays out. So many people jumping the gun on declaring it great or terrible. Let's see how it goes... Good luck all (sincerely).

There is also a random element to target selection when choosing between equidistant targets, so what works in the sandbox may not work on the real base.

In any event, I can finally try some Lavaloon practice WITHOUT blowing through 1000s of DE and tons of time to work on it. I can try some really fun things, and bowler walks, and crazy army comps, without having to 'next' my life away trying to find a suitable base to drop my practice army on.

Overall, I think the pros outweight the cons here.
I think this is a great point; it will allow better pathing prediction of queen walks or bowler walks; the lack of cc troops and trap placement still adds a lot of variability; but it allows a raid to go as planned; but having pathing work properly is really only half of the battle; stuff still goes haywire.

Good grief people. I can almost guarantee you there will be a cool down period which will guard against most of the endless practice on your war base.

wow Clash is fun again !! I stopped playing for about 2 months and just started again a week ago! It is better than before!

    suggestion

can we load up our own defensive and offensive CC for friendly challenges?

I want to be able to practice and experiment different army compositions but asking for high troops in a low level clan is a challenge even during war, so I would like to be able to load up CC troops for practice only. I dont know how it would be done or if it can be done but I would love that.

    great feature

Really dunno if I should like this idea. Could be heavily abused as some sort of legal XMOD by players simply copying their cw-opponents bases.

No matter how you put things people will always find a way to say something negative about it.

I have been playing clash of clans since it released. I've seen a lot of players come and I've seen a lot of players go. I've seen clans built. And I've also seen them destroyed.

I do not see this update as an act of desperation. I see this update as a positive move. I, like others, believe that this should have come out a long time ago, but I will not blame supercell for their actions. For We are all only human and we make mistakes.

If you've made it this far in my post continue reading. I'll make some valid points. But for those who only want to find fault in supercell you should not continue. Because no matter what I say you will still continue to blame supercell for their actions of destroying the game.

For those who are mad at supercell for banning modders, claiming that they are losing money by banning such players. I say that is untrue. See most modders are the lazy ones who don't want to put time to their game, or money. And no I'm not saying that players must put money into the game. But these are people who are cheating by modifying game code. There's no rhyme or reason to justify that. When you signed up to play this game you agreed to terms and conditions which meant that you were not going to mod. These players do it still and now they must
    face the consequences.

Now that my rant is over let's continue on with the discussion about this update. Modifications will need to be made obviously to protect the game state. And unless you test this new update for large number of players and not put it immediately to the public you would be able to find out where the problems and fix those faults. However there's one thing that you'd have to worry about, people complaining because they weren't able to test the update before it's released. This is not legal Modding, it's not taking the side of the modders and saying that they are right. This is a feature that is been long overdue.

What I can't do is get you all to stop complaining, I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. What I would kindly ask however, is that if you are not satisfied with the service that you have gotten in clash of clans to no longer play or respond to posts. Because you're complaining does no good. Because no matter if you think an update it's disgusting or not. SuperCell has dedicated players that will play this game until it dies. And at the rate that it's going right now that won't happen for a long time.

Before you jump the gun and say oh their business is failing! I want you to think of a simple fact. Most failing businesses fail within the first three years of opening. Supercell is not one of those companies. They have enough money and resources to continue their servers for years without any new updates or any new players.

If you've made to the end of my post, I would like to thank you weather you agree or disagree with me.

And to you, Supercell, I would like to thank you. For ridding our game of modders, for creating new content, for helping create new bonds and friendships that will last forever.

Do not fear change. For it is change that brought that device to your hands. It is change that allows you breathe the clean air you do. It is change that brings delicious food to your plate. Without it we wouldn't exist.

Like Jwp721 said, I believe, IF it is available during wars...which we don't even know yet, the increase in decoy war bases is going to increase substantially. It amazes me how many people, new spawns and old timers alike, are ready to jump on the negativity bandwagon. Lighten up! Wait and see! Think positively for a change.
