The majority of players don't have the time or the inclination to reproduce bases and sandbox for a few hours.
The problem is the possibility that any clan, on any war search, may face an opposing clan who has players that are prepared to put in the time to do this.
This will just demotivate many players from wanting to war anymore.
But, why is this any different from possibly facing modders? Because modding was cheating. Sandboxing is being endorsed by SC, and that will open up the practice to the masses who have time to do it, not just the Elite.
Most of the top FP clans put hours and hours into their skitching, watching youtube, and what not. And the same FP people dump hundreds if not thousands of dollar into their heroes. So the game is already biased towards people who spend extra time and money into the game. This is no different.

With this new feature, hardcore war players will replicate and practice enemy bases just to stay competitive. Even the fairplay clans will try to abuse this feature in order to survive in the hardcore war scene. Supercell banned the modders and now, they created their own form of modding disguised in the words "friendly challenge". This is good for casual players and not for hardcore players. Why would SC prioritize the casual players? Casual players will just play the game whenever they want and quit the game whenever they want. SC should prioritize the needs of the hardcore players because they are the ones who are very enthusiastic and loyal to the game. Hardcore players are begging for other features to be added on this game! They did not ask SC for this friendly challenge thing! C'mon Supercell! Save this great game! Don't ruin it!

    What I like/dislike

    What I Like
    • Being able to test my village/war base with my clan mates and then tweak things. It'll help find weak spots and figure out where people are most likely to come in on my base.
    • I like the idea of being able to practice on a base and improve my skills.

    What I Dislike

    • The idea of "Sand boxing" becoming a requirement for wars.
    • That clans will expect players to be on for the majority of war day designing the opponents layouts and trying to create a 3 star strategy or face being kicked out.

Actually they did ask SC for this new feature. Once SC banned the mods, hardcore players complained that mods have helped to develope most of the strategies that everybody is using now, and were asking for another way to test bases and develope new strategies and army compositions.

May be you are pertaining to the hardcore modders who claim that they invented the 3 star attack strategies. They want a new form of modding because they will be banned if they continue their old modding ways. I believe no hardcore FP players would ask for this kind of feature. Even the hardcore war youtubers like Jake(OneHive) and Powerbang did not beg SC for this. The friendly challenge is a Casual player- and modder-centered feature.

I disagree, i;m not or never was a modder. But with a game with cooking times like this, it's only make sense to have a sandbox feature. I guess in this case supercell and me has the same sense and you're not. But let's just do this elegantly by trying it out. If things go wrong, it''ll be just like PBT. That was horrible and they fixed it didn't they.

A strategy game like CoC must not have a sandbox feature. Otherwise, it will be abused. Anyway, Supercell just announced that the friendly challenge feature will have limitations. I'm happy that they heard our complaints.

No. You're now so immature that your ignoring that you didn't say it was a bad idea but just said my logical response to why it wasn't a bad idea was wrong because my clan doesn't win wars. So.you clearly did care at that time. Not do.you say anything about your clan or the likely need to cover up your one and two star attacks (see mind of the same thing you did).

War wins depends on war frequency. Anyone not 12 knows that.

As I understand the update you don't just hit "copy this base" you have to build it from scratch. Then you can't just let others hit it you need to let them practice 3 minutes at a time. So unless someone has 2 mirror accounts like max nines it will take two lifeless people to do this. It isn't like modding where I think they could just log in by themselves and do it.

Finally if this is within the rules now it's just practice for those few that take the time to do it. My bet is most former modders who wanted the easy way out won't.

Very positive approach from the company towards millions of other players. Not.
