♥♥♥. Kidding me? So anyone can copy war opponent base and let his clanmates practise on it over and over again to find 3 stars strategy. So what the ♥♥♥♥? Just release the mod then! Cause there is no difference atm!

A huge problem for war zzzzz

now the enemy can take as an example my war layout and keep training in clan challenges...
    then attack zzzz
    its like legal modding

It has been a breath of fresh air to go into war knowing that the best clan will win. Now, that will not be the case after giving a clan all of prep day and war day to practice on a base. Yes, we will not know with 100% certainty where traps and teslas are but most of the time it is not hard to guess. I have hope that SC will put some restrictions on this challenge or else it is one big slap in the face to all the people who clamored for and enjoyed fair play wars. Anyone see a bright side to this update?
i think you fundamentally misunderstandd FairPlay vs cheating. Modding is not FairPlay primarily because its against the TOS so by definition only cheaters can use it, secondly its a uncontrolled third party app not regulation by supercell and capable of anything technically possible. The specific things offerted by xmod can be assessed individualy whether they would improve or hurt the game. Thats a different debate but its important to understand that the specifics offered by a third party cheat app are not the salient consideration, the fact that it is in fact a third party cheat app is the issue that makes it not fair play.

All of this talk could be settled if Supercell treated us like big boys and girls and told us all the information up front.

It would make that update to punish xmodders look like the ONLY reason was because it mucked with your intellectual property, and had nothing at all to do with fair play.

Please tell us that you left out some detail(s) that would prevent players from copying clan war enemy bases for endless testing. PLEASE. Otherwise, this is HORRIBLE.
equal access to features is by definition fair... if its in game for all to use it can't be unfair.

Bro row people are still using ipod in war and pushing, read the Reddit forums, lol; the iPod people patched it; looks like SC and its psychic octopus is already history; all SC did was clear the botters, war people still using tools.

    Nooooo

My 10 year old asked why we can't attack our clanmates for fun. I explained that people would copy enemy war bases and then practice against those bases. The 10 year old immediately understood what a bad idea this would be. Lets hope supercell is half as smart and only allows this feature when the clan is not at war...or just backtracks and does not allow it at all.

You don't have to make a copy for every base...most are so overused and predictable its not worth the time. One or two bases could win a war....

Exactly. And for those that think players won't waste their time doing this-

what do you think mod and ghosters have been doing for the past 2 years?
