First you can't challenge yourself.. So you have to get someone else to copy the base. There may be a cool down period between challenges so it might not be unlimited tries.. War prep day will now be filled with decoy bases so any practice then is a waste of time... so yeah let's pour hate all over this update before we even know how it really works...

As a fairplay clan with over 200 wins and no losses since xmod was removed... It doesn't bother me any if other clans copy all our bases and try over and over. It's a lot more effort than sandboxing. I know our clan won't bother every war copying the other clans base and spend hours attacking it over and over. I actually hope they do, b/c wars have been flat out boring.... most wars are over by the first 4 hours for us. We haven't had a close war in about 20 matches.
I do like the feature for helping improve our lower tier guys, or just guys who need more practice. It also lets us try new troops... I know I hate losing trophies trying new army comps... Getting a chance to try a Bowler walk... or hogs on th11... or drags... might be nice. We might see some new attacks besides Gowipe... or AQ Healer with valks.
people don't understant the diferences between xmod sandbox the friendly sandbox by coc.with sandbox u can have unlimited max troops spells and heroes with a th3 account. With xmod u can attack everyone. With friendly battle u have to build the army and u have to copy bases wall by wall defense by defense but even with that to have e perfect simulation u mast have the same level of walls and defenses and traps. Now tell me how many players will bother copying bases wall by wall just for a war simulation??
Just when I thought SC had finally turned a corner, and with the anti-mod and quicker brew-time changes, made the game fun again, they bring out this. Jesus.
As a maxed 11 disillusioned with the clouds in legend, CW's was the last place to have fun, to pit me and my clan's skills against another's. All this will do is reward the geeks with the mindset and patience to practice over and over until they get it just right.
Well, I like wars for the 'sport', for the thrill of trying to break a base down and then using my skill to try and roll it over. There is where the buzz is, there is where it's always been.....But my only chance now is to practice repeatedly on the oppo's top bases to be evenly vaguely competitive? No thanks.
He who now practices harder, wins; the game dumbed down like never before.
You've lost it SC, truly.
