LOL! Awesome Post. I know! Right?! Being able to attack your own base would be awesome. Finding a peer willing to attack it for you, and doing the same for them, and discussing it for 5 minutes... is the next best thing. This update rocks.

We need to increase the number of saved bases. Double it from 3 to 6.

I get it. I see why people are so upset... First, copying an enemy war base is bad form, right? Did someone call it "Ghosting"...? I tried copying a base I liked once. Took like an hour... He got three stars on me anyway... I only got him for one star... totally not worth my time. Second, copying a war base and then practicing against it used to require mods and was literally cheating, right? Clearly some people are still going to consider it cheating even after "practicing" is incorporated into the game as a perfectly legal tactic.

So, basically, if you are a hard core gamer... you're ticked off because OTHER hard core gamers with even LESS of a life are going to beat you even more often then they do now. Especially if you're a maxed-out TH11, am I right? Since everyone has the same buildings and the same troops and the only "skill" difference is your base design and your attack strategy. *POOF* one of those two differentiators is toast. And if your defense is spectacular but your attack strategy is mediocre... throw in the towel today! Your time in the sun has passed.

But more importantly... who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about TH11's or their War Tactics? I'm a nearly-maxed TH9. I regretted upgrading TH8 for months. The idea of finally maxing out TH9... only to become a weak-assed TH10... makes me sick. The future of this game, financially, is not the TH11's. Am I right? It's the people still trying to reach TH11... and willing to pay to catch up.

This is update going to be SPECTACULAR fun for the five or six TH9's in my clan. Maybe we'll actually get people to improve their defenses. Maybe we'll get people to actually do their war attacks! I'm in a *family* clan... which means no kicking people because they miss war attacks. No leaving people out of wars because they rushed their town halls. No punishing people for attacking way to low because it's more fun for THEM.

This update is going to be HUGE benefit to the newer and younger players in my clan, with TH6's and TH7's and rushed TH8's "cause they could afford it". Those who are willing to take the time will be able to get some real practice and have discussions about real strategy... since nobody has time to watch anyone else's war attacks anymore.

But, yeah, this is going to be a pretty boring feature for the four TH10+ in our clan. They will get bored of fighting each other... and we'll get tired of them beating on us real fast.

Well if there is a cooldown there is no point in introducing this thing. I am OK with limitations while in war, but other than that it should be unlimited.

Lol I'll use a troll/fake base and change it at the last moment, so they won't be able to copy my real base.

    I deserve a promotion

So basicslly, war starts, enemy team screenshots my base design, and has all their members copy it and practice atks against it until it's overwhelmingly crushed.

"Let's make it unavailable during war!"

Wow that's a great idea, except people can make new clans, and members without war timers can practice the attacks and the replay is there for all to see.

    What a stupid idea.

Not to me. Cuz a lot of bases follow a few popular layouts. And for bases those that are unique, by spending a few mins looking at it and understanding ur own troops behaviour, u can predict what path they will take. So having the new feature doesnt give any huge advantage. It will just allow me to practice my timing, try new strategies without spending resources, and to have fun some without wasting resources.

I liked this feature and I see it really has a potential to make game more interesting and skilled.

With this, I expect more in-clan activity, internal competitions and overall improvement. You can tryout different strategies in base building, attack styles, learning troop AI, better cc troop combos against different attacks etc etc etc …

May be, there should be an option to attack your own base as well. but it may have some complication in defending cc combo vs attacking cc combo (?).

    About impact on clan wars-

According to me its ok to let some user duplicate an opponent base and let it practice for his classmates during war. Because its not really exploitable as it looks to be. Following are some points to support that-

    1. You must have very similar defence levels to exactly replicate the practice playground. For 50v50 clan with all similar TH levels, this might look easy, but thats not general thing. Or clan will all maxed TH11, this might be possible. But definitely not common for mass majority of the clans out there.
    2. The base must be attacked once covering majority of the area to show all bombs, traps, teslas, cc etc. Means, you are already wasting one attack in war. Remember you have only 2 attacks in war itself.
    3. The base building is not very quick. Its not mod which lets you copy paste the base. You have to make it, check it again and again to see its the exact replica.
    4. When you throw it open for attack and someone 3 stars it, you don’t get a ready script to be executed on the actual base. What you get it again a best possible plan which is shown working. You still have to attack the base actually and .. remember .. 100s of things can go wrong or differently there.

Instead, what it will achieve is more and more people will learn how to perfect their attacks. There are several clans in which there are 2/3 star players out of 30/40 who shine during casual wars but when they try and join elite war clans, they fell short because of lack of practice (myself falls in this category). With this, there is a big opportunity to gain and improve. And, this will help reducing the gap between elite clans and casual clans, at least in terms of individual performances.

Yet, I believe, there should be a limit on this stuff. You can throw a challenge any time but challenge remains active for 24 hours and every other player gets only 1 (or max 2) chances to attack your base. This prevents or rather controls the ‘exploit’ and let improve the skills.

Supercell have already said that they do not intend this to change war dynamics and that there will be restrictions.

They haven't said what those restrictions will be, but most likely seemsto me tobe a 24 or 48 hour period after significant changes befote a base can be put up for challenge.
