This will not be good! They will use this instead of modding now. Please do not go through with this. What is the point of 3 starring a base because you've practiced it a million times? Ppl should get stars based on skill not practice.

Battles/friendly challenge is right at the top!!!!!
Been talked about ever since on and off.
BUT - since WAR - my understanding was consensus view was this feature would 'impair the integrity of the challenge'.
Indead it's ironically ironic that given people were saying 'we're fed up with cheaters let us do this stuff to even the playing field' (their irony - that was only seen briefly as u kept closing the treads cos we weren't even allowed to talk about ppl cheating) - to which we have had the 'FairPlay' initiative, a wave of banning, threats of more banning and NOW you announce the ONE feature people were using to cheat us always FairPlay people out wars '-simulating attacks' u r bringing in to the game (your irony - some would call u hypocritical or suggest the octopus is overburdened and u can't beat em so joining them).
So by all means bring it in, BUT come up with a way that prevents abuse in war.
War now for many is their main in game 'thing', inc myself I have for now achieved my personal cup end game (going Titan) - want to just war now while I build up my base, hopefully one day to go legend - I want fair exciting close wars - not a situation where - u win if u spend the longest time practicing.
And do not underestimate the lengths to which people will go to 'work' the system.
Even if u somehow lock clans or give people cool downs on practicing on bases. All someone needs to do is is screen shot the base send it to a mate with a similar base build it/perfect attack and the person in the actual war can view successful strat with a mini account.
And as loads have pointed out only the critical bases that need looking at not all of them.
Now- why I think this is a great idea.
My main clan is a family clan my son plays regularly but my two girls max th6, lost interest - now they are already talking about challenging each other to mini competitions 2c who can make the most fiendish base to beat, debating who's the better attacker etc.
A lot of my sons friends remain with an account but don't play. I think they will come back to this. Being good at this great game is hard unless u can attack well, and that's tricky to do if u can't practice. Some of the multiphase attacks are very very tricky this is perfect.
People will come up with previously unfound good strats.
It's a great teaching and learning tool.
The flip side is defence we see the same old bases over n over, if able test bases, Challenging new stuff will come up.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, just before u press the 'Red Button' and make this go live, be 100% sure WAR is protected.
Otherwise Game Over.
It should be disabled whenever a clan is at war... Otherwise it sounds like fun...
I'd much rather see SC address current issues that make the game less playable rather than adding new features. The last update (reducing troop/spell build times) was very much in this vain and I don't think there was a single complaint regarding it.
Case and point, along the lines of making the game more playable, being able to use heroes in war while upgrading them would be another big improvement that I think few would complain about.
Personally, I'd value being able to use heroes in war attacks about 100x over this "friendly challenge" feature.
SC spending hours, days, weeks, developing an idea, and then people come here and post the first thing that comes to their minds without thinking.
If SC disable/lock bases during war, then you just have to go to another clan to test whatever you want to test.
By the way, I love this new feature, I don't care too much if they limit it with a 47 hours cooldown or whatever, as I like the idea of testing a clanmate's base several times making small changes (like placement of teslas/traps) every time without waiting 47 hours after each small change, but I understand also that some people don't like the idea of their war bases been copied and tested by the rival clan during war. Whichever way, I will adapt.
Next step could be "life duels" in trophy pushing (1 vs 1 challenges): whoever gets more stars and percentage to each other base, wins and get the same trophies than the losser losses. No need to wait in the clouds for hours any more in Legend.
Okay so if i am reading this right how long will it be before its used in war..... get the guy below you to attack your target to discover the tessla/ bomb positions then copy his base, then you can practice attack it ????
