Wait til u get level 5s. I can 3 star a TH10 with them and 1 star a TH11. I use one jump spell and the rest all rage. Those valks are vicious.

The answer may be somewhat different if you have level 1 vs level 4, but in the long run, whatever DE you spend maxing them is going to be forgotten as you steal a river of the stuff over time. However, having a troop that truly kicks butt, even if it gets nerfed a few weeks later, that'll be something you can tell the grandkids about..."back when I was young, we had these level 5 valks, and they just ripped stuff up like you wouldn't believe...they got nerfed, but I'll never forget my girls..."
Get 'em. Rip stuff up. Steal a bunch of DE to pay for the boring stuff you didn't upgrade so that you could do the valks first.
