My 18 and 19 are only Th5, while theirs are Th9 and Th10.

I'm assuming your original post was just a typo about the town hall level then. Does your #1-5 have better offense than their #1-5? Hero lv, troop space, & troop levels?

Most likely the offense from their #18/19 is taken into account, and their top guys will have lower troop levels or space than your top guys. They rank #18/19 defensively, but they probably rank #2-3 offensively.

Either build a defenseless base or take joy in the fact you're not giving away free 3 stars. Re-design your bases defense if they're getting easy hits on your bases. Th9s should make other th9s work for those 3 star attacks.

Like it or not, it's a viable strategy. Want to beat them? Make a better strategy, or make better attacks. Plain and simple.

Your right, it's not cheating -- it's terrible game design by Supercell which when properly exploited ruins the competitive spirit of clan wars.

I see threads like that popping up a few times a day. Someone lose the war and looking for something to blame. Before you call it cheating try to get a defenseless account to th9 or 10 with heroes and troops. Every time someone attacks your base you lose max and don't get shield (no point of spending 30% of troops on defenseless). So, people are sacrificing a lot of fun to get advantage at war. I never heard someone complaining that they found such a base in multi and how unfair it was for taking all the loot and not giving shield, but then why are you complaining that they have some (theoretical) advantage in war.

on a side note - get a dictionary and see what the word cheating means. Those bases are playing by the rules. You might not like those rules, but those are the rules...

Using matchmaking negatives to subsidize clan war benefits is not a great place to make your stand when trying to defend a competitive enterprise such as clan wars.

Technically its not cheating, but it is an exploit of the MM alogrythim. And eventually enough people use it to crutch victories, people will begin to complian until it gets a nerf. Then all those gems spent to get your defence less up to a high level will be wasted. I know, I know already..."I didn't gem my defence less to TH10!" it's cool, someone believes you somewhere. Getting 100%-ed 5 times in a row wothout getting a shield cause attacker only used a few troops is a great way to save loot. idk why people have to jump from one glitch to another. But is what it is I guess.

As was said many times before. When you have a max th11 on other side and you only have 10th - is it cheating? No it is luck. Defenseless accounts are trying to put some insurance against bad luck. For example we have th8 war at the moment and we have 2 th9 on other side. We have only one defenseless th9 in this war. If that base would not be in - we would have no chance. So, unless something changes in matchmaking - defenseless accounts is your best insurance.

They have a Th10 as 19, we don't even have a Th10 in our team, our max is Th9, from 4 on it's Th8 and down. Offensively they can take our 1-4. Cheating may not be the right word but it's an ugly exploit that needs fixing and guys, my opening post was a typo. I was so emotional after seeing how their 19 dismantled our 4 that I didn't make much sense.

The match making system is the problem. Not the people with defenseless bases or .5 bases, ect. We have a couple of useless bases we put in war a lot. We started doing it cause we got tired of getting matched against a team with 2 TH 11s to our one. Or 6 TH 10s to our 4. The easiest fix was some nothing accounts on the bottom to help even out the top. We also have a few .5 bases with offense maxed but previous TH lvl defenses. We aren't trying to screw other clans by out matching them we are just trying to keep from getting screwed ourself. If your top players are matched pretty even that's all that matters. Our wars almost always come down to the top few bases anyway. I do think the matchmaking system needs to be better, but don't fault people for trying to not be at a disadvantage at a sub par system. The fix is not to make everyone uparade their bases the same. The fix is to improve the match making system so it can more accurately account for the differences in strength.
