Wishful thinking: reduced upgrade and research time

Today's news was amazing! Won't affect me much but it makes me happy seeing the direction that the dev team is taking! Made my day.
Now only if I could shave some time off when upgrading/researching. Please, dev team, please?

Well the research time is what makes the game a 2-4 year game depending on how you play. I don't see this being lowered down.

Doubt this will happen. This would lead to less gems being spent, which means less revenue for SC.
