Heros can be put to sleep... Clan Castle should also be able to be put into rest mode.
Single most frustrating thing about war for me...
Waiting a few hours for someone to cook a max lava, pekka, golem etc. only to lose it in when you get raided and have to wait for another.
I would gladly put my CC on sleep mode and not have them available for defence if I could rest assured my troops for war won't get lost to a raid.
The process to obtain good war troops is currently so time consuming and unreliable that I opt out of wars a fair amount because of the opportunity cost i.e. I could be raiding millions in the time that I'm sitting doing nothing with my full army waiting for CC troops.
Or I log in ready to war... find I've had my CC war troops raided and have to wait again.
I've seen the suggestion for a CC troop bank... this would fix the above problem to a degree if it was war bank only.... i.e. people can't use max pekkas or lavas for common raiding.
I think the issues described above lead to a good number of active players opting out of war because it slows their upgrades down too much.
