Fair play is great 👍, now lets have fair war match up too!

Bravo Supercell for promoting fair play and banning cheaters. As a coleader of a war clan, I have vowed to never stoop so low to cheat and encouraged others to do the same. We have been quite successful in wars, 156 war wins to date. Sure, we have some war losses here and there. Sometimes we just came across another clan that just executes better than us. I fully accept that.

But when we get matched up unfairly, it is hard to accept our loss. In our current war, war search took about 10 minutes, so not too long. Our top 5 is all TH9s, no TH10. Their top base is almost maxed TH10 (except for wiz towers, walls and heroes). He has max teslas and maxed troops. Their 4 TH9s below him, all have higher heroes than our TH9s.

True, their bottom bases are under-matched against us. But the thing is, their top 5 bases are so over-matched against us. Their top 5 can easily take our top 8-10 bases with their 2 attacks. The rest of their bases will have no problems cleaning the lower bases.

How is this a fair war match up? Supercell, please fix your war matching algorithm.

With the information you have given it is hard to say, but this looks like a !mismatch in your favour.

You have 6 TH9s to their 1 TH10 and 4 TH9S, are equally matched on TH8s and have 1 extra TH7.

That said, TH levels are useless as a metric for determining the fairness of a match. If you could provide the defensive war weight of both clans they will probably be within a few percent of each other.

Incidentally, how do you know their #1 has max teslas?

Sorry. I meant infernos, not teslas. And yes, the TH10 has maxed teslas too because one of our TH9 attacked his base, no stars, and the teslas popped up. We could tell by how they looked.

It may looked like the mismatch is in our favor, but as I pointed out, their TH10 and 4 TH9s are way overmatched with ours. That's 10 attacks total, could wipe out 3 stars our top 8 bases, at least, possibly even all of our top 10 bases.

And the rest of their bases, even though they are mismatched at their mirrors, they could easily attack many bases down.

Our bases are not rushed at all.

When a clan is being mismatched at the top, it is not a mismatch to its favor.

Oh, I don't doubt that defensive war weights of each clan is about the same. The heavy weight of their top bases is offset-ed by the lesser weight of their lower bases.

If matching defensive war weight of each clan is the fair system, then one would deduce it should be possible for us to win, that it would be a test of each player's skills to beat each other's bases.

And yet, we are finding it is extremely difficult for us to win this war, no matter how skilled our players are. Thus, I don't think it's a fair matchup.

Yup. No surprise. We just lost, 68 to 71. We 3-stared all their TH8 and below, but only got 7 stars from their 4 TH9s, 1 star from their TH10. Their TH10 3 star-ed our #1 and #2 TH9s easy.
