    Lock players in the Clan during the CW if the player "opt in".

    The title says everything!

    I wouldn't exactly characterize it as "everything." In fact, it says very little. It doesn't mention why you think this is a good idea or why you would want it. It doesn't consider what you're going to do when a player in your war simply doesn't use his hits. Or if he just barches for loot. Or if he purposely fails. Or if he changes his war village layout to guarantee the opponents get three stars with minimal effort. Or if he decides to spam your clan chat non-stop. Or if he decides to question your leadership abilities. Or if he insults every player and ridicules their skills. Of if he messages your opponents with copies of all your war villages and traps. Or if he boots out everyone with a lower rank. Or if he invites and admits randoms from global. Or the many, many other ways a disgruntled player who no longer wants to be in your clan can make your clan experience a living hell. That doesn't sound like a very good idea to me. When I have a player who isn't working out, I prefer them to the be gone.

    just put trustworthy people in war and you shouldn't have this problem

    There are far more problems that would be had by forcing a player to stay than letting them walk. Sharky highlighted a bunch.

    The truth is if your clan is half good, then you only need half your war members to win the war. In other words, 1 person leaving should make no difference in most cases (exception may be for your top one or two spots). If you lose the war because of that one person, in reality, you lost for a whole lot more reasons.

    Locking someone into the clan doesn't help. They'll just not attack.

    It also creates the problem that if they're locked in for this war and then can't be on when war ends, they might get locked in the next war as well!

    Most players would just shout and scream and fight and be annoying (donating goblins etc) until they got kicked.

    There are so many downsides to this...
